Experiments are crucial to building confidence and scaling the performance of your campaigns. That’s why we’re excited to roll out new functionality and improvements that make experiments on Google Ads more powerful, and tailored to your needs. We’re rolling out the ability to:

  • Test the impact of new creative assets in Performance Max campaigns: Measure the performance of a different set of assets, the impact of adding new assets, or even test how seasonal assets compare to evergreen assets. You’ll also be able to test assets that you’ve generated using Asset studio.

  • Expand how you measure success with a second metric in experiments: Soon, you’ll be able to go beyond measuring the success of just one metric and add an optional second success metric. This will give you more insight into how changes affect your overall performance and will let you better determine the winning arm of your experiment.
  • Access one central location for your tests: You’ll find both conversion lift studies and experiments all in the same Experiments page with more conversion lift and experiment capabilities coming in the future.

These features are currently rolling out. And in a few weeks, we’ll start rolling out expanded experiments support for Google Ads API and manager accounts (MCC). With these updates, we’re making it easier than ever for you to drive smarter results in Performance Max through a streamlined, data-driven approach to testing.
