How YouTube creators grounded Javvy Coffee’s growth strategy

When YouTube creator Abby Howard decided to secretly change her husband Matt’s morning coffee order, she recorded his reaction for their millions of followers. She handed him a glass of protein-enriched Javvy Coffee to see if he would notice the switch. When Matt took a sip, his face said it all: He loved it. But before he could speak, their kids chimed in, “I want to try it! I want to try it, Mom!” It was chaotic, unpolished, and real. Millions of viewers saw a genuine recommendation from a friend, and that unvarnished sincerity is exactly why people trusted it.

Javvy Coffee knew people loved its product. The next challenge was scaling up. How do you translate that early magic to a broader audience and prove your brand’s relevance to customers who have never heard of you?

The solution leaned entirely into the organic power of creators like Matt and Abby. Here is how they did it.

Building trust through unscripted content

To develop its strategy and identify the right talent, Javvy teamed up with the influencer marketing agency, Influencer. “When we’re sourcing creators, we always look at three key pillars: science, synergy, and style,” says Agustín Milian, senior account manager for client services at Influencer. “Science is the data: follower count, audience demographics, engagement rate, views. Synergy covers values and brand affinity. And then style, that’s the content itself.”

Matt and Abby Howard fit this framework perfectly. Their multimillion parent following delivered the ideal target demographics (science); their active family routine naturally incorporated a functional morning product (synergy); and their unscripted, fast-paced vlog format was tailored for short-form feeds (style).

Together, Javvy and Influencer launched a new campaign offering a limited-time discount to customers. But how creators presented this deal would make all the difference.

Where a rigid script would have put off viewers, Javvy adopted a flexible brief to meet its main audiences — parents, students, and commuters — where they already are, on YouTube. While specifying a few basic business needs, like clear product visuals, Javvy encouraged creators to play up their own style. This approach allowed each partnership to feel relatable to the creator’s audience, proving that unvarnished sincerity builds far more trust than a traditional script.

Turning authentic creator storytelling into high-performance ads

Javvy launched the campaign in two phases. First, partners posted their content organically to engage their core communities. Once a video gained momentum, Javvy used brand partner access to link the creator’s video to their Demand Gen campaigns, giving them the ability to run it as an ad via creator partnerships boost and reach a broader audience.

The brand partnered with a broad range of creators simultaneously. This diverse mix empowered the brand to build a wide variety of content and connect the right ads to the right audiences.

To expand the impact of these videos, Javvy used creator partnerships boost, a creative feature that turns authentic creator storytelling into high-performance advertising.

“Being able to run a creator’s video as a partnership ad under their handle instead of the brand’s, that was something we had never done before,” says Jacob Tayrien, senior Google Ads buyer at Javvy.

An asset with existing organic traction felt authentic to new viewers. Because the comment sections were already full of a creator’s actual community, reacting and asking questions, the recommendations were naturally easier to trust. YouTube’s ad solutions then helped these top-performing assets cross over, allowing them to scale past core fans and successfully find entirely new audiences.

The results: Javvy’s creator videos achieved approximately 70% more impressions than the second-most viewed video, and 50% higher conversion rate compared to other Demand Gen campaigns during this period.

The business impact of authenticity

The campaign’s authenticity clearly tapped into a deeper level of relevance for viewers. It generated a strong average watch time of 31 seconds, proving that audiences found the content genuinely useful and wanted to learn more.

By combining honest storytelling with YouTube’s AI-powered paid solutions, Javvy saw a measurable impact across other key performance metrics.

Four claims from Javvy Coffee: 1.4 million organic views from sharing; 6.9 million views from paid boost; 70% more impressions than the second-most viewed video; 50% higher conversion rate compared to other Demand Gen campaigns.

Aligning organic and paid workflows

Javvy proved that organic and paid media can no longer live in separate silos. Brand marketers must plan these strategies together, not as competing goals, but as two parts of the same effort.
