I came to this Medical Centre last year July 2024 whist severely compromised by my previous medical practice that due to the wrong medicines I ended up being severely unwell instead of mildly. This practice immediately made room for me even though they are very sought after and busy. The exemplary level of care and understanding has been immeasurable. This is what a Doctors Practice should be like. The acumen of Dr Sarathy is impressive. She is a gem 💎 of a Doctor and a very kind and supportive human being. I give her AFTERCARE 10/10 after an experience by my previous GP left me very unwell. THANK YOU Doctor Sarathy. Your grace and humility has done wonders to restore my faith in the medical profession. I’ve been seeing Dr. Carolyn Sarathy at Zion Medical Clinic for about a year or more now, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. I’ve come to her with a range of health concerns over this time, including mental health, sleep issues, pregnancy, and I also take my son to see her when he is unwell. What I really value about Dr. Sarathy is that she always listens and takes you seriously. She’s empathetic, thorough, and quick to act to help you feel like your best self again. It’s rare to find a GP who genuinely cares and doesn’t dismiss your concerns. I truly appreciate the care she’s provided to both myself and my family.

I have only seen Dr Sarathy once as an urgent appointment when I was in Newcastle one day and she was absolutely amazing and professional! Her bedside manner is amazing, she's kind and listens and she gave me the appropriate treatement immediately! I was accepted and welcomed amazingly as a new patient!

I've seen Carolyn for 6 months, and based on my experience with her compared to other GPs I wouldn't use this doctor for long term issues as she doesn't follow through with the procedures for any follow up appointments or specialists required.

Dr Sarathy has been my doctor for 10 years I first saw her when she was in Maitland. When she moved to Newcastle I followed her. She is extremely thorough and gives you the time you need. Getting an appointment is easy and the office staff are friendly and courteous always willing to help. She has a nurse on site who does injections and patient care plans along with all things essential for a great practice. If you are looking for a Dr in Newcastle I would highly recommend this practice.

Doctor totally missed the issue with my skin. A tattoo had flared up and the swelling literally followed the orange ink from the tattoo. Clearly an allergic reaction. The doctor just kept saying she couldnt see the swelling but I could see it on the back of my leg, it was raised and had other features that could help with diagnosis. The doctor diagnosed it as bug bites. I said 3 or 4 times but it's literally following the orange ink around my leg. She responded each time to say she couldn't see it. No care taken whatsoever. Had to go elsewhere to get properly diagnosed and treated.

Dr Sarathy is based in Newcastle and I have been a patient at both her Newcastle and Rutherford clinics. Carolyn is thorough and professional, ensuring she covers all bases when diagnosing and is always kind and caring at appointments. She also does not recommend or prescribe any treatment unless it is deemed safe, effective and necessary.

Dr Sarathy is a fabulous Newcastle Doctor! We are always able to get an appointment when we need one, and the new clinic is great with easy street parking. All the support staff are lovely and helpful. Using the Hot Doc app we can see available appointment times which is brilliant! Highly recommend Zion Medical Centre for all age groups.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Sarathy for many years. She is patient, an active listener, and considers your overall well being when assisting you to make decisions about your health. This Newcastle doctor provides a professional yet personable approach to healthcare, that is proving harder to come across these days. Doctor Sarathy is an awesome Newcastle doctor. She is professional and compassionate to your needs. Any issues have been thoroughly explored and treated appropriately. Accessibility to Zion is so easy, there is usually parking close to the surgery but is can easily be accessed via public transport.
