Your Carpenter Friend

Brendan and his team are fantastic. I was having an issue where the ply wood cosmetic ceiling on the front porch was starting to fall down. He came out, looked up under, and he saw that our original rustic wood was there (and in pretty good shape). He offered a couple of options (just putting the plywood back up or taking it all down and refinishing what was under there). In deciding to take it down and restore some of the charm to the home, he and his team had competitive pricing, were able to start right away, and most of all treated the property with respect. They were great to have working at the house, they worked quickly, and in the end I'm so happy with the result. I'll definitely be calling him if I have carpentry needs in the future.

We needed to fix some dry rotted posts supporting my porch. After discussing with Brendan, we decided to replace the posts and remove some stucco arches. Brendan listened to what we wanted. After doing the demo work, he was able to come up with a solution to open up in front of our picture window by upsizing the cross beam and removing two of five posts. The result was a more modernized look and an open view. We couldn't be happier with the guys from The Carpenter Friend.

Highly recommend this company. I hired them to address a dry rot problem. They are very professional, punctual and clean up after the job. I dealt with Brendan and Sam. We just had an excellent experience with Your Carpenter Friend. Brendan owns the company, and it's all in-house, no contracting out. Licensed, bonded, etc.... He came out quickly and was not rushed, even with all my questions. The estimate came later that day. He worked with me, with prompt communication, to find a date that worked and, the day of, took care of the job beautifully. The work involved replacing a mudsill that was totally rotted in some parts due to termites and moisture. They lifted the wall very slightly, took out the damaged wood, and placed a new mudsill. The work is really excellent and everything was left spotless. Thanks Brendan and we'll be in touch for future projects should they come up.
