I am pleased having found such a great dog groomer near us. It was easy to schedule and the care and attention when I dropped our dog off was exceptional. Monica asked me questions and then told me what to expect. Great service all around. Looking forward to using Yappy Dog Pet Grooming again!

I cannot speak highly enough of Yappy Dog. Monica and the shop came recommended to us by a friend at the dog park. The love and care for our animal was obvious before the first service began. Our dog is happy and content when he departs, shows excitement when we return, and the quality of service is fantastic.

I love bringing my dog, Scout, to Yappy Dog Pet Grooming. Sharon and her family take such good care of my fur baby! Scout is a pretty chill dog, but he is always happy to go here and have his spa day! I appreciate how much Sharon and her team love the pups. I love this place they always get me in last minute. They are so accommodating both times. I have brought my dogs here. They have been in embarrassingly bad condition with lots of matting and bad haircuts that Mom 🌝💜👸 tried to give them at home lol they always make them look so good and very friendly staff. This is my go to place in Portland.

Yappy Dog Grooming is fantastic. We ask for a lion cut and nail trim for two tiny, fluffy, and neurotic dogs. For as wormy as these two dogs are if you even so much as think about them the groomers manage to get a great trim in. About $90 a head for haircut and nail trim. Most importantly when I go to pick up my girls they don’t come out with shell shock.

Monica and her team are incredible! They were so sweet and patient with our pup and did a fabulous job. Highly recommend!

Took both our Frenchies for a nail trim today, they were able to squeeze us in without much notice. Fast, professional, very pleasant. Had both dogs in and out in 15 minutes combined. Our male Frenchie acts like we’re chopping his leg off when we try to clip his nails, but not one peep out of either one of them when being done by this team. While she was clipping & filing the other gentleman was occupying each dog by giving pets & talking gently to them. I also appreciated how she kept herself planted next to them while they were up on the table to make sure they didn’t fall off. They have great prices. Definitely felt like they were in great hands here. The time it took for us to drive down there, get their nails trimmed and get the dogs back home was STILL less than how long it takes us to do it at home. Needless to say, we’ll be bringing them here on the regular!

I tried Yappy Dog once before and wasn't overjoyed, but not unhappy with the grooming experience. My dog was returned clean, tidied up and the charge of $85 seemed consistent with the market. I decided to give it another try to see if I could develop a relationship with this shop so close to my home, even though the shop is small, a little chaotic and has lots of noise with more than 2 dogs inside. WRONG! After explaining to Sharon that I didn't want a summer cut and that I wanted her to be bathed, left a little longer, tidied up with no beard this is what I ended up with. AND, to top it off, she said she was going to have to charge me $120 (last one was $85). I flipped out - boy did she get a lap full of my outrage. She tried to say this cut took her extra work... on a dog that had NO mats and has been brushed every day of her life. She did what she wanted to do, completely disregarded what I requested and then tried to gouge me for it. I'm posting a before and after picture. Judge for yourself.

I just picked up my dog and her hair is softer than it's ever been, she smells amazing, and even had a skin treatment for the dry skin on her belly! The other groomers usually charge a lot for a brush out over 5-10 minutes and any kind of skin treatments or special shampoos but the extras were all included (even the cute bow). I was able to schedule a same day appointment and I'm so happy I did. My dog Sriracha is FLUFFY with a super thick undercoat and a top coat that clumps together like dreads. It takes a lot of effort to brush out (the Petco people tend to complain about it and tell me I need to reschedule for a different type of appointment weeks out) but I cannot stress enough how soft her fur is right now. I have had this dog for 5 years and her fur is so soft that I wrote 2 paragraphs about how awesome this woman is at her job. Thank you so much for squeezing me in today! My pup looks great, I feel good about spending $60 at a local business instead of $85 at Petco, and I found my new groomer! She was super nice and clearly cares about my dog.
