At first, things went well. However, his driving an excavator through my ivy bed twice without any warning to remove the sidewalk was a surprise. Besides ruining my bed, it caused damage to my lighting system that was professionally installed. Additionally, while putting in the driveway, the irrigation sysem was moved and caused breakage to one sprinkler that puddled water. Mr. Woodrum blamed these danmages on others, but did attempt to make repairs. Once he said he had everything working, I had my irrigation/lighting specialist check to be sure things had been properly repaired. I explained to Mr. Woodrum that there were three concerns with his repairs. First, that the use of indoor wire nuts vs. waterproof nuts was not acceptable, therefore, the wiring had to be pulled up again and fitted with waterproof nuts. I also asked that he pay for the lamp that was broken by the excavator as the attempt at saudering did not work. Thirdly, one of the sprinkler heads needed a part to stop it from puddling water. He became angry upon my concerns with his repairs. Then he refused to communicate with me even after several attempts. I do believe he did a good job on the comcrete project, but found communication and hurrying through created issues that needed addressing.

Great guy and great company!! Highly recommend!! Thomas did my mom’s driveway and it turned out amazing, much better than I ever thought. Work area was clean and employees were kind. We are so satisfied we have retained his services again for next week to add more concrete to my mom’s back patio. You won’t be disappointed!!

Mr. Woodrum and his team did an amazing job repairing my driveway apron. Communication regarding scheduling and expectations were timely, and the work is beautiful.

Four Stars because not many people deserve Five! However, Mr. Woodrum and his crew did a great job on my driveway extension / walkway! Came on Thursday morning, poured on Friday, final details on Saturday morning. Left the area clean. A week later and my wife has a place to park that is better than the original driveway! Priced about right for the area, so no issue there. If you want a salesman to talk to you like a child, then don't bother calling Thomas. If you want someone to be honest and up front, then he is the one.

DON’T HIRE! Only writing this, because I wish I had a warning about what an awful experience is possible with Thomas Woodrum Concrete. This hostile man did nothing but try and take advantage of a women hiring him and bullying me to try and get more money. He claimed I changed the job – which from the time he wrote the contract the job never changed. He charged me $500 for Flagstone molds for Stamped concrete, then tried to use the molds he had. He rented a cement grinder that didn’t work – but refused to rent one that did work – so now I have rings in my concrete, still have writing in my concrete that should have been removed, and the finish is not as promised. (I was told to “put a rug over it”.) If you make the mistake of hiring him, be sure the contract is written EXTEREMLY specifically – so that he does exactly what you expect. No room for add-ons, or error. Thomas himself has anger management issues, and when I paid him what was per contract, he started trashing my house and threw garbage on the wet epoxy. Had to dial 911. I may be poking a bear – but I want others to know what I went through. BTW the flagstone stamped concrete did turn out nice. 1 star.

Woodrum Concrete recently stripped, recolored, and resealed a stamped concrete patio and walkway for me. It was a tough job because the old sealer had turned white and was in very poor condition. The crew spent several days removing the old sealer and touching up the color, which was quite difficult. It took over a week to get the correct sealer to complete the job(local supplier's fault) but Woodrum stuck it out and the finished product was worth the wait. Woodrum and his workers were very professional and were the cleanest contractors I have ever hired. When they finished, there was not a single trace they were there other than a restored patio.

The worst experience ever! Said he knew how to stain a driveway but what I got was "trash" as spoken by the Judge in small claims court! Woodrum sued me for the balance of a horrible job but I WON a judgment against him for what I paid. Rude, angry guy and horrible work! Look at the pictures of my psychedelic neon orange driveway that was to be stained a coffee color!

First I would like to say this company does very nice work. I am satisfied with my back patio and Thomas Woodrum is very knowledgeable. He even installed 2 drains to accommodate the water flow and this I am thankful for, we never would of even thought that was necessary. My complainant is my steps to exit the back french doors is less then desirable. During our discussion concerning the patio I asked for a patio with steps, I was unaware that I would not get full steps. I have tried to speak with him concerning this and all I got was excuses and what he says was our acceptance of half steps in a prior conversation with blame placed on us, I am not a contractor so this could be somewhat true it is possible I did not understand but I have looked at my quote and it does not state anything other than 3 steps. I also do not understand how anyone would want half steps when it is double doors?? I only wanted to rectify the situation and was not planning on asking for a free service but I did expect professionalism on his part and to at least meet us half way in the conversation and cost. Sadly he did not want to hear anything I had to say. Excellent quality of work but extremely poor communication skills plus hostility when you question him. Would I recommend? Possibly but I would defiantly advice you do know exactly what you want, draw it out and be sure it is in writing.
