At first, things went well. However, his driving an excavator through my ivy bed twice without any warning to remove the sidewalk was a surprise. Besides ruining my bed, it caused damage to my lighting system that was professionally installed. Additionally, while putting in the driveway, the irrigation sysem was moved and caused breakage to one sprinkler that puddled water.
Mr. Woodrum blamed these danmages on others, but did attempt to make repairs. Once he said he had everything working, I had my irrigation/lighting specialist check to be sure things had been properly repaired. I explained to Mr. Woodrum that there were three concerns with his repairs. First, that the use of indoor wire nuts vs. waterproof nuts was not acceptable, therefore, the wiring had to be pulled up again and fitted with waterproof nuts.
I also asked that he pay for the lamp that was broken by the excavator as the attempt at saudering did not work. Thirdly, one of the sprinkler heads needed a part to stop it from puddling water. He became angry upon my concerns with his repairs. Then he refused to communicate with me even after several attempts.
I do believe he did a good job on the comcrete project, but found communication and hurrying through created issues that needed addressing.
