My experience with Wingate Power was beyond disappointing, and I strongly recommend avoiding them. We needed them to repair a Generac whole-house generator urgently as we were preparing to sell our home. Instead, they dragged the process out for months. They initially sent an inexperienced technician who had no idea how to handle the issue and had to come back multiple times. It took ages to get the parts, and I had to constantly chase them. When the owner finally got involved, he was also unable to fix the problem and ended up telling us he didn’t have the time or resources to help us—after we’d waited for months. In the end, they left us high and dry, even refusing to supply necessary equipment to another technician who could have fixed it. Their suggestion to just buy a new generator instead was completely unacceptable. This company is unprofessional and unreliable. I’d strongly caution anyone against using Wingate Power for anything.

Multiple missed and /or delayed installation dates. Inconsistent messaging from front office. Rudeness and aggression from Mr. Wingate.

We recently had Billy install a standby generator for our home, hands down the best experience! From start to finish the entire job took less than 3 weeks which was significantly shorter than another local vendor. The quality and appearance of the installation was excellent. If you are considering a standby generator, Billy should be your one and only call!

Had someone come out for a quote for a generator. Their quote was $2K higher than a different company. We asked about financing options as at the time, they only had one company to go through. We were told we would be contacted back with updated options on financing. They were “training” people on how to use the new system. Fast forward to several months later….no phone calls and no texts back at all from Wingate. They lost my business! In response to the company’s response: Yes sir, that is correct; however, according to our conversation you also said you’d get back in touch with me once “training on the new software” was completed since you claim to have added more financing options. We never heard anything back from you. We went with another provider and had no issues with being accepted for financing. I chalk it up to bad communication on your company’s part. Again, we thank you for the opportunity but you lost our business because you stopped promised communication.

We have had a great experience with Billy. He explained everything as he was installing it. He was very professional in his workmanship. The power company had nothing but good things to say about his installation when they came for the switch over. Downtime was to a minimum due to his installation work. Highly recommend Wingate Power.

Billy was amazing on our home generator. He came over same day we called and he had it installed just a few weeks later. He even came to check on it the first time the power went out while we were out of town, just to make sure everything was working properly. I highly recommend him!

We worked with Billy previously on a wiring job, and he was great then. I contacted him about a new issue, for which we potentially had alternative coverage through a warranty company, and he took the time to review their terms to see if he thought they would cover it. Turns out, they likely will. I appreciate having someone who will take the time to respond to you (quickly and professionally) even if it might not bring them immediate business.

Wingate Power - William - did an amazing job installing our generator. From start to finish William was efficient, attentive, understandable in what needed doing, friendly and always available to answer any questions. His guys that build the platform for our generator also did an excellent job, they made the stand blend in to rest of our house. Can definitely recommend Wingate Power - thank you William!

Very pleased with Wingate Power. Billy was quick to get our generac installed. The day we called him, he came over, explained all of our options, gave me the quote and the generac was placed at our house 6 days later! Billy is the owner and installer. We have never felt more comfortable with a company. Everything he said he was going to do, he did in a very timely professional manner.
