The 30-days past due delinquency transition rate for credit cards came down to 8.8% in the third quarter of 2024 from 9.1% the previous quarter. The serious delinquency rate, in which balances are 90-days or more past due, was 7.1%, down from 7.2% in the second quarter.
Overall, 11.1% of credit card balances are 90-days or more delinquent, up from 10.9% in the second quarter of 2024.
