Awful awful experience! Wants to know the balance of the estate constantly and then will send bills according to your balance. Cindy, who handled my case, did not defend me at all to other family members trying to remove me as executor. It was shocking. All she did was relay information and inform me that I needed to agree to everything. I lost a lot of money because of her! I handle the entire estate myself and was shorted 3% of my executor pay. This was because the opposing attorney knew that she was just out of law school and could get away with things with her. She said I had to agree to only getting 2% executor pay instead of the 5% that I was entitled to and noted on the will. That 5% was well-deserved. I asked her why and she said because there were realtor fees from selling the homes! But for some reason I only had to pay 3% ( approx $30k) out of my Executor pay on one home. Absolutely made no sense at all. Those are estate fees, not fees that come out of the executor's pay! Plus, I had several homes I sold, so I have no clue why it only pertained to one home. The whole thing was a joke! Then, when I asked her where it states that the executor pay will be deducted Realtors Commission on one home, she would not answer me. She basically hung up and then 2 days later, I received a letter in the mail stating they were no longer going to represent me. Just wow! Then she had the nerve to bill me for the last $500 that was left in the estate account. Absolutely horrible! This is the last thing you need to worry about when everyone, including your own attorney, is greedy and trying to take money that doesn't belong to them! Also, when we had court via Zoom with the opposing attorney and the judge, Cindy did not speak up at all in my defense or respond to the opposing attorneys false claims. I was already going through hell with family and now I have an attorney that's only billing me and not fighting for me even one bit. She agreed to whatever opposing attorney wanted and then did not defend me. I found out later that the opposing attorney, it was shocked how horrible she defended me and did not defend me. All she did was relay messages and agree to what he wanted. It's one thing not defending me, but it's another when you take money from me that my family member wanted me to have and money I deserved! Then give no explanation of why the executor should pay a realtor's Commission on one of the many homes that were sold. Worst experience I've ever had!
