I am writing this review to express my significant dissatisfaction with my recent experience with Dr. Kiran at West Perth GP. Unfortunately, my encounter mirrored some of the negative feedback I've seen in other reviews.
I found Dr. Kiran to be consistently rude and dismissive throughout my consultation. I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and that I was being rushed. When I attempted to explain my symptoms and the research I had done to understand them, Dr. Kiran told me directly that I was self-diagnosing. This felt incredibly invalidating and shut down any meaningful discussion about my health.
Beyond this specific instance, I felt a distinct lack of care from Dr. Kiran. There was no sense of empathy or genuine interest in understanding my health issues. The consultation felt perfunctory, and I left feeling unheard and without adequate guidance or support.
On a completely positive note, I must commend the reception staff at West Perth GP. They were consistently amazing, helpful, and empathetic after my disappointing appointment. They were very understanding when I expressed my frustration after seeing Dr. Kiran, and I genuinely felt sorry that they had to witness and listen to my distress. Their professionalism was a stark contrast to the interaction I had with the doctor.
It is disheartening to have a medical professional treat patients in this manner, especially when trying to be proactive about their health. Based on my experience with Dr. Kiran, and seemingly echoing the sentiments of other reviewers, I cannot recommend her. However, the excellent reception staff are a credit to the practice. I would advise others seeking a caring and attentive GP in West Perth to consider alternative options, despite the wonderful front-of-house team.
