Of 182 cities in the United States, Fort Lauderdale came in dead last, partly due to hurricanes and the explosion of COVID-19, according to a study by WalletHub, a credit report and consumer website.
The survey pulled the 50 most populated cities in America, along with other densely populated cities in each of the 50 states, and ranked them according to three major metrics:
🏠 home and community safety
🌊natural disaster risk
💸financial safety
Other Florida cities also appeared in the survey: Miami at 153, Port St. Lucie at 132 and Pembroke Pines at 93.
