The Shipping & Receiving Clerk must maintain an efficient work environment while verifying and keeping records on large volumes of incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for delivery in accordance with quality and productivity standards.
Under the supervision of, and as delegated by administrative staff, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk:
- Coordinates courier services and creates shipping labels.
- Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper and supervisor to rectify damages and shortages.
- Conducts quality control to ensure watches meet industry standards before being returned to customers.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of shipments.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Maintains inventory and adequate supply of office supplies and shipping materials.
- Updates and maintains databases such as mailing lists, contact lists, and client information, and retrieves information when requested.
