I can't sing enough high praise for Ward's Tile Works. Danny is a master craftsman. Regardless of the complexity of my design, and he said it was possibly the most intricate one he has done, he worked it out perfectly. From the beginning of the project to the end, he thought everything out and made invaluable suggestions based on his years of experience.
He didn't cut any corners, no pun intended :), paid exacting attention to detail and always put my design concerns first.
He always protected the entryways and floors upon beginning work. He was organized, always on time and responded to any of my texts immediately. It was amazing to see the progress he made as the job progressed.
The house was built in 1953 and so the walls were out of plumb. It's all in the preparation, he said. He shimmed the walls, used the newest and best materials for the walls. He did "old school" and floated the shower pan. I chose a linear drain and he seamlessly worked it into my design.
Lastly, I want to say that Danny was so patient and nice about several aesthetic changes I made along the way for the design and removing a few tiles that he had already set. He never got upset or frustrated with me and seemed to only want me to be happy with the final outcome.
On another note, I trusted Danny enough to work at our house when we were not home. My sense of him was a person of integrity and honesty.
As far as price goes, I got 5 quotes on doing the job. Danny's estimate was not the least expensive but certainly not the most. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and in this case, I got way more in terms of quality workmanship and a friendly, easygoing experience than I had ever expected.
Don't hesitate to use Ward's Tile Works for any job you have planned.
