Although you were also grieving an uncle (my dad) in the process, you kept it professional and stayed calm to make sure Dad/Uncle had a beautiful send off. There’s a 1-star review earlier which could either be a mistake, or perhaps some unreasonable expectation, because my entire family’s experience with Waikanae Funeral Home has been nothing short of outstanding. They immediately traveled an hour late on a Friday night to collect the body of my Father when he passed, despite this being my very first interaction with them. Their flexibility and care from then on, even weeks after the funeral and cremation, has been a 6-star service. My special thanks to Sara for her availability, communication, compassion, and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

The staff here are absolutely lovely and very caring. There is one lady that I would love to mention and that's Shelley she looked after my family and I so well. Has such a beautiful caring nature. Thanks heaps for looking after us Shelley during the hardest time.

From the moment we contacted the team after the loss of our dad, our worries disappeared and we knew we were in good hands. Graham and his team made the whole process so easy, they were wonderful with our mother, who was especially taken with the service we received. As it was around the time the country headed into lockdown, the extra pressure of the pandemic and gatherings was taken care of, being able to have a private ceremony for dad (in case the public one couldn't go ahead), and then a public service with the ability for all our family and friends to still join us via the live feed was invaluable. If Graham and his team were worried about the changing lockdown conditions they did not show it, we never felt anything but absolute care from them.
