Voltech Electric Solutions

SERVICE PROVIDED— Level 2 EV Charger Installation in our home. We found Voltech to be professional electricians. They did a thorough pre-quote inspection; then provided a formal quote; and kept in touch and answered questions as we had them. Their price was in line with most other quotes we were given. We were sent reminders of our appointment and were notified when they were 30 minutes away. The installation went smoothly and we felt good about their level of competence and knowledge. We did receive 3 other quotes including one for far less, but none of the others provided written quotes, had websites, and worse— we could not find them as licensed on the Alabama Electric Boards website. It may how we searched or that their legal name is different from one they gave us. That is why they should at least give you a business card with their name and the company name, and phone numbers, license number, and insurance information. Having electrical work done on your home is far too important to have it done by the cheapest person or by an electrician who doesn’t provide such basic information. After doing our due diligence, we chose Voltech.

First, I will say I don’t typically write reviews, unless someone proves to be outstanding on some level and I have extremely high standards. That said, we called Voltech Electric Services around 7 pm Friday, Dec. 12 and arranged to have a technician come to our rental home, the following day, to check on a breaker that kept kicking off the heating unit. The tech came out on Saturday, December 13, looked at everything and said we had an HVAC issue, so we needed to get an HVAC company to come out and take a look. We paid their fee and followed up with an HVAC company. The HVAC company came out Sunday morning, December 14, took a look at everything and said it was not the HVAC system, it was indeed an electrical problem. Shortly after, I texted Will, the owner of Voltech, that the HVAC person said it was an electrical issue and to please call me at his earliest convenience. He called me within the hour and he made a point to drive out to our rental house and address the problem, himself, within the next two hours. He not only figured out the problem, he apologized for his techs misjudgment and he went ABOVE and BEYOND to fix the problem. Not only that, he didn’t charge us any more to make all the necessary repairs. I would like to reiterate that all of this took place on a weekend, when you can’t even get ahold of most companies, like this. He showed great moral character and a willingness to admit there was a mistake made by his tech and he went out of his way to fix it. Because of his honesty, his moral character and all he did to take responsibility for his technicians misjudgment, we will use him and his company going forward and definitely share his name with high recommendations to our friends. He truly is deserving of all the 5 star ratings!
