I had some suspicious spots on my arm and back. I went in to Vital Skin and had them checked out. They sent the samples to a lab for testing. The one I was most worried about was nothing but one of the others turned out to be basil cell skin cancer. I was told if you get skin cancer this was the most treatable. I came back in and Doctor Youse cut out the cancer in the office. No pain at all, I am hoping all labs come back good the second time!

I have been struggling with skin issues, biopsies and skin cancer. Due to the caring and compassion of Jennifer Slater I feel better about my condition over the past year. Also would like to thank dermatologist Todd Johnson for his expertise in MOHS surgery and helping me this past week. He is a wonderful, caring doctor who makes you feel confident everything will be ok. The nurses and staff are very friendly compassionate ladies and am so glad I chose Vitalskin in Mattoon IL to take care of my concerns.

Today was my first visit with VitalSkin Dermatology in Mattoon. I was extremely impressed with the entire staff. The lady at the front desk and the lady who took me back to the room and took down information were so courteous and pleasant. My physician assistant was Jennifer Slater. I had to have a place on my nose checked for possible skin cancer. Jennifer did a careful inspection and said it was precancerous. She froze the area and said she would see me in six months, unless I needed to be seen before that. I highly recommend VitalSkin for you skin needs and care.

It was a very pleasant experience. The staff are professional and friendly. They explained things very well. It seems like I was in and out in a few minutes.
