Vista Vet Clinic and Urgent Care

I took my five month old puppy, Buddy to Vista Veterinarians in Midvale on Sunday November 9, 2025. He had gotten into a bottle of my antidepressants which turned out to be toxic to dogs 🫢. I was devastated and my daughter set up an appointment with them so when I got there they were ready to take him right in and get started taking care of him. They helped me apply for care credit so I could pay for the service and feel comfortable getting him taken care of and when all was said and done my baby boy was fine. Then three days later they called to make sure he was still doing well. I was so happy with the service and I had never even met them before. If you ever need a vet and don't know where to go...I highly recommend Vista in Midvale. Buddy recommends them too.

Just moved to Utah. Called several places and decide me on Vista. They made an appointment without it being complex (not true of several place called). I was early and they accommodated me with out issue. Receptionist was friendly, vet tech was helpful and friendly, and doctor was focused, sharp, and friendly. There was almost no waiting the entire visit. Also very fairly priced which is so appreciated. They helped out my wounded ex feral kitty! Thank you so much!

I brought my 15-year-old senior cat, Gummy, to Vista Vet Clinic after he managed to sneak onto the roof and take a fall. He ended up with a small bruise near his eye and a cut on his nose. Our regular vet didn’t have any openings, and we didn’t want to take up emergency resources for a non-critical injury, so we were really grateful that Vista Vet could see him right away with no wait and no hassle. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating from the start. The woman I spoke to over the phone gave me clear, accurate quotes and accurate wait times. When we arrived, the receptionist was warm and helpful, and Dr. Annamaria was so kind and thorough during Gummy’s exam. She made sure his fall hadn’t caused any deeper issues and also noticed some signs that he might’ve gotten into a little scuffle with another cat. They took the time to carefully review his history and made sure none of his preexisting conditions were contributing to the injuries. Not only did they ease our worries about the fall, they also offered thoughtful guidance about his arthritis, providing us with long-term pain management recommendations and getting him started on medication right away. For an urgent care visit, everything about our experience was smooth, compassionate, and professional. The clinic was clean, the staff were attentive, and we felt truly cared for. If we ever need urgent care for Gummy again, we’d absolutely come back here. Thank you so much!

I am so in love with this clinic. They treat all of my cats as individuals and take the time to understand their individual needs as I take on special needs and behavioral issues. A great example is my blind cat Felix. He gets scared on the table, and they were happy to come down to the floor and keep him comfortable while taking his blood pressure. I also appreciate that they are practical and honest; they don't push expensive tests and procedures unless they're needed as so many other clinics do. The care is consistent across each vet and tech they have on their staff, so you're always getting quality care. They are fairly priced and don't surprise you as they're upfront on costs. Very easy to make appointments.

My sweet baby girl Whiskey was starved to death, abandoned and left for dead. She was brought into Vista Vet Clinic by a Good Samaritan. One of the veterinarians knew that my sweet girl wanted to live and helped nurse her back to health. She received quality care and love and has made a full recovery. I’m beyond grateful that they took care of Whiskey so that she could come home with me and fill my heart with joy every day. Whiskey can now run, play, jump and do all the things dogs are meant to do. I can’t imagine my life without her and I owe it to Vista Vet Clinic and Dr. Carrine Ramirez for taking a chance on my angel.

We had an amazing experience here. Our 1-year-old Cane Corso had a scary night. We accidentally left him with a beef cheek chew, and by morning, he was vomiting up entire chunks of it and had blood in his stool. We were totally terrified. From the moment we walked in, the receptionist was so sweet and patient. They took us back right away. Bri, the vet tech, had the most positive and uplifting energy. We felt like total failures that morning, but she immediately helped us calm down and reassured us. She gave us great advice and recommendations. Our pup loved her so much! Not once did he feel anxious around her even though he had to get IV fluids! That’s so impressive to me! Our dog is usually very anxious at the vet, and at other clinics he’s been scared and tense, but not here. With other clinics we’ve gone to, they were scared of him because he’s a larger breed. But at Vista, everyone’s calm, gentle energy made him feel so safe and comfortable. Dr. Carinne (I hope I got her name right!) was so absolutely wonderful. She took her time explaining everything in detail, answered all our questions, and never once made us feel pressured to spend money unnecessarily. Every suggestion she made felt thoughtful and truly in our dog’s best interest. She also shared so much helpful information we didn’t even know we needed! We never felt judged or unwelcome. We felt supported, cared for, and genuinely heard, which is so rare with any medical situation. These ladies are all so cool, so kind, and so professional. Honestly, this might be the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. We’re beyond grateful for how they treated us and our pup.

I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to euthanize my best friend, they made her a smorgasbord of treats for her last meal, they were extremely careful and empathetic. Taking every measure to make her last moments comfortable. Thanks for taking care of us.

We loved our experience here. There was no long wait like I’m used to on others Pet’s hospitals/Urgent Cares. We appreciate the service, from the quick check in the front desk, and the nurse and doctor’s attention. We loved that they were straight with what our dog had instead of trying to charge us crazy exams and night costs interventions like other places. I will definitely make this our new place to bring our dog and cat!

We really needed a new vet for the whole dog family and my dog was in desperate need of medical management for his anxiety. We had a vet whom we absolutely loved, but unfortunately is out of office for a few months. The other vet in that same office has never been very good at listening; they put my dog on Apoquel for his excessive licking and scratching, but of course, since this was a behavioral issue it did nothing. We had really tried almost everything else, including a year of hands-on training with a trainer who’s been amazing and over-the-counter anti-anxiety options, but nothing seemed to really help, so I was at my wits end. As you can imagine I was anxious myself to try a new vet. How would we know whether we’d get the write off again like the previous vet? From the initial phone call with Bre to schedule my dogs appointment, I already knew this clinic was different and instantly felt more at ease. Then our intake with Nan was more reassuring, and even though we were the last appointment of the day, she just sat and listened to everything I’ve done for the past year to try to manage my dog’s anxiety. It felt really vindicating to a) have someone listen and then b) have her tell me that we’ve done everything right so far and yes, it was time for medical management. Our visit with Dr. Ramirez was just as positive. I felt heard and my concerns about my dog’s behavioral issues/anxiety were taken seriously. Instead of trying to guilt me into the things I wasn’t doing for my dog or giving me the brush off, she offered real solutions that were evidence based and relevant to my dogs presenting complaint. Then the cherry on top was that the recommended medications filled at the clinic were shockingly inexpensive (as was the visit). I would recommend this clinic over and over to anyone looking for a new vet. I have not been a dog owner for very long, so I am pretty ignorant about these things, but I felt so cared for, taken seriously, and the amount of time that they spent with my dog and me was way more than my own doctor is willing to spend! I love Vista Vet and their staff are amazing!

I can’t recommend Vista Vet enough! I’m so grateful they offer walk-in urgent care appointments, and all their staff and veterinarians are all so warm, compassionate, professional and great with the animals. Our dog has been there twice and our cat spent a couple days there after eating a pain medication meant for a dog. Every experience has been great, and I LOVE that the clinic is locally owned by two women veterinarians. I refer people to Vista Vet frequently! Thank you.
