Villa Kumi Guest House Nungwi

I’m not sure how all these 5 star reviews got here. I’m leaving 2 stars because the staff and Piero (the dog) are really nice. But the mattresses are old and dip in the middle, rooms are not clean, and the sheets are stained. The towels and sheets all smelled like they were left damp for too long. The WiFi was not good enough to work on most of the time unless the villa was nearly empty and therefore few devices on the network. And finally Stefano got mad at us when we asked him why he charged us $14 for a plate of pasta….

We stayed at Villa Kumi in Nungwi for 4 days as a group of five (3 adults and 2 small children), and we had a truly wonderful time. There is a very warm and friendly atmosphere at the villa, created by the owner Stefano and the rest of the staff — everyone was very welcoming and especially nice toward the children. Breakfast was different each day — one day we had cake, another day eggs with sausages, and another day a delicious avocado spread. The place is very quiet at night, which allowed us to rest peacefully, and the swimming pool could be a great spot to relax during the day. The rooms are clean and spacious enough, with good Wi-Fi throughout the property. If you prefer a smaller, cozy place over large luxury hotels, Villa Kumi is a great choice. The beach is within a 10-minute walk, even with small kids. Highly recommended!

The rooms smell like mold. Sheets and towels were stained. I had to request to change sheets because of the bad smell. Breakfast is fruit and stale bread. Owner made pasta for dinner one night and charged us $14 per plate with barley any meat in it. This place is not worth your money. Staff is friendly

Villa Kirumi is great place to stay in Nungwi area! Location is not far from beach and restaurants. We stayed in Villa for a month and felt really like at home. Owner and all staff are super-friendly and very helpful! Food is good, it also possible to order meals by request, it was very tasty. We are very thankful for generator provision when there were electricity shortages sometimes. It was important for us as we needed to work remotely. We really liked this place and definetely will come back next time. Missing our friend - the dog Piero, he is very kind and nice. Thank everyone in Villa Kirumi for our comfortable staying, we are looking forward to get back!

Villa Kirumi is a very nice place and highly recommended. The owner Stefano is very helpful, khadija also took good care of us while having breakfast, the Dog Piero is very friendly and always looking for attention. Rooms are very clean and spacious, bathroom is clean and hot water always available. The location is just perfect and 5 to 8 mnts walking to the beach.

The Real Experience of Relax, Family, Elegance and Outstanding Location for a Guest House in Nungwi Beach. My Best Compliments to All the Staff of Villa Kumi, from the Owner Mr. Stefano, father of Zanzibar, He gave us help for everything in the Island: tours, transportations, great Restaurants and Really well done To the ladies for getting ready in also early morning a Rich Vitamins Breakfast, Sante Sana Mrs. Vanessa & Mrs. Fatma. For Sure I suggest to every great Solo, family, couple Travelers to try the Experience of Villa Kirumi, you will have The Right team Next to you. Friendly atmosphere, Stefano and Hadija were wonderful. The villa and the swimming pool are very clean. Breakfast was fantastic -with fruits and pancakes and eggs. The beach is 5 min walk and you can swim there any time of the day. The area is safe and rather green. Were crying when had to go home.
