Completed the 4 day Northern Vietnam experience in May 2025 and it couldn't have gone better. It was near the end of the season, so our group tour just ended up being us two! Tom was truly an amazing guide and our driver, Hui was so helpful and kind. Couldn't recommend this experience more. The farmland, food, and experiences you get to be a part of are one of a kind.

This trip exceeded our expectations in every way. From the start Ly was super helpful, was incredibly responsive, and answered all our questions. She was professional, provided all the detail we needed, and even advised us when we wanted to customize our trip. Once on the trip our guide Loc and our driver Bot were beyond fantastic. This was not just a bike trip. We learned about the local Mekong Delta agriculture, the local commerce and livelihoods, the history of Vietnam and surrounding countries, and - best of all- our meals were authentic regional cuisine. Loc knows everything! This trip was off the beaten track which is exactly what we like. We saw very few other tourists. A majority of the biking was on small, low-traffic, paved paths. Those are the things that were above and beyond. Loc and Bot also took care of all the important logistics. Our bikes were always ready and in perfect working order, we always had cold drinks and snacks when needed, we had chilled wipes whenever we stopped, and we took regular, but efficient, breaks for drinks and fresh fruit (which often included Salt Coffee - so good!). Vietnam Bike Tours put together a great trip. We were there during an unusual rain event, but Tony and Tom were awesome. We made minor changes to our daily rides to maximize riding in mostly dry conditions. Tony was also very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the country and the landscapes we rode through.

The Mekong delta 8 day bike tour exceeded all my expectations and truely changed my outlook on the world. Our tour guide Loc is the reason the trip was incredible. He took us on back roads winding through coconut, rice, flower, mango, and shrimp villages. Loc is so knowledgeable about everything. He taught us and showed us how rice is grown, harvested (I even rode on a harvesting machine), and processed. Loc taught all about Buddhism and stopped at many monasteries. We met many people in the villages and they shared food, water, and even their bathrooms when we needed. Everyday we saw, learned, and ate something completely new. Loc made sure every meal was a feast and I tried probably over 100 different delicious Vietnamese dishes throughout the trip. Also shout out to our driver Bot! He always had mangos cut up for our mid morning snack, filled our water bottles without us even asking, and assembled/dissembled our bikes in a blink of an eye. All the hotels were perfect and so fancy. Vietnamese people have the biggest hearts and this trip really made me appreciate this beautiful country. We saw the real side of Vietnam where no tourists ever go. I am not an experienced cyclist and every day I was excited to keep exploring and was really sad when the trip ended. We had a wonderful 3 day tour in the Mekong Delta. Our guide, Loc Ly, was excellent. He planned our route through lovely back roads and took us to beautiful pagodas and a variety of local businesses. He made sure we got to sample excellent dishes in restaurants along the way. This was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam.

This is THE company to see Vietnam with if you want to get off the big old tour buses. They think of every detail, they hire THE best local guides, they use the best accomodations, and they will help you create the trip of a lifetime. We used them for 2+ week tour from Saigon to Hanoi, and they dealt with everything. Wish they would plan all my future trips around the world--attention to detail is fantastic Cannot recommend them enough.

We have just finished a 4 day tour with VBT - Ninh Binh - Pu Luong - Mai Chau - Hanoi. From my initial enquiry 4 months ago, through to the end of our trip, the service from Ly, our guide Nam and driver Minh was 5 star / A-mazing! Our 13 hour train trip became 22hours due tk Typhoon Kajiki and Ly kept checking in with us through the long night. Our start was adjusted so we didn't miss any of our biking adventure. Nam was super friendly, communicated the days plans well, knowledgeable about Vietnam and took us on interesting and varied routes everyday. We felt safe and within our range and ability - Nam was flexible and gave us options. The bikes were adequate to the conditions - the paths and roads are mostly concrete. Our 3 hotels were good with friendly staff though perhaps we would try a home-stay option next time for more contact with locals. The food was awesome and plentiful. I would thoroughly recommend booking a tour with Vietnam Bike Tours!

We had a great experience with Vietnam Bike Tours We worked extensively with Ly (Bui Thi Khanh Ly) to arrange the trip. She was wonderful; super responsive, helpful, and communicative. She planned an excellent 3 night/4 day trip for us southwest of Hanoi—to Mai Chau, Puluong and Ninh Binh. Before we left my wife encountered some problems getting her e-visa, and Ly was extremely proactive helping her get the problem resolved, communicating with us daily with updates on WhatsApp and email. She was very reassuring. She also very helpfully recommended a service (for which we paid a little extra) that allowed us to bypass lengthy lines at customs in Ho Chi Minh City airport. Was totally worth it. We give the tour very high marks. Our guide was extremely familiar with the local area. He put together routes every day that were fun and creative, including through rice fields, on narrow paths, concrete pathways, and back roads (and only very occasionally on main roads). He also was very flexible, adjusting our ride itinerary on a couple of days to deal with some challenging road conditions and in another case, to avoid riding in the rain. He was friendly and solicitous. The bikes we rented (including an e-bike) were very good quality. We chose the luxury option and stayed in three wonderful hotels. They were all in idyllic locations, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The food and service at each was excellent, and each had lovely, good sized, swimmable pools. We had a great time and would love to do another trip in the future.

Best cycling experience ever! Working with Ly was amazing. She completely customized a trip based on what we wanted to see and budget. The guides were amazing, the restaurants were excellent and so were accommodations. They organized both cycling, sightseeing and cultural experiences. Couldn't have been happier with the trip!

This bike tour through the Mekong Delta was one of the highlights of our trip to southeast Asia. Ly was very easy to work with before and during the trip. Our guide (Thang) and driver were great. We had cycling, ferries, culture, amazing lunches, scenery and overall, it was a fantastic experience. We chose the higher-level hotels, and they were wonderful. The transport was always on time, and everything was ready to go each morning and at each stop. I would highly recommend this Vietnam Bike Tours for any cyclists travelling to Vietnam.
