Izzy was admitted as an emergency overnight to Vets Now and then handed over to Abington Vets as she was too poorly to return to our own practice. The care she received was amazing. Emily was experienced and knowledgeable about Izzy’s condition, explained everything clearly, and treated her appropriately, including arranging a blood transfusion. She encouraged us to visit and answered all our questions with patience and reassurance. It’s clear the whole team genuinely care about the pets they treat, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Abington Vets.

Although expensive - approx £350 for an emergency consultation - the whole experience was quick, reassuring and professional. Our dog was in a lot of distress, the phone was answered immediately and we were referred to a location less that half an hour away. We were then seen almost straight away and our dog was treated (including sedation) within two hours. Expensive but worth it - a great team and service.

From arrival to the practice carrying in our very sick dog to leaving with walking out to come home, we felt completely cared for & grateful for the knowledgeable vet that acted so swiftly to save our dog’s life. The team on reception showed empathy and guided us with regard to insurance use. The regular phone call updates while our dog was in surgery and recovery was so welcomed. Our questions were always answered thoroughly and we don’t feel the staff could have done anything more. Life saving surgery and next steps have all been explained for us to go into a more controlled future.

I was unfortunate enough to have to visit the emergency vets not once but twice in the same evening with two different pets. The service received from everyone there was brilliant, the ladies on reception were helpful at explaining how the insurance claim would work and we’re sure to advise and explain about any fees relating to it so there were no surprises. The vet that saw me was also great at explaining what he was doing and why every step of the way. I’ve been to other emergency vets where they just take your pet and leave you in the waiting room. This experience was much better, and all on New Year’s Day, much appreciated.

Amazing service my puppy came here after she broke her leg and there service and care she got was amazing. You can tell that the staff here genuinely love animals and that love it 100% passed onto the animals they care for. If only everyone put asmuch care and hard work I to their work as these guys do. Thank you for everything Little Ruby hall is doing amazing

Easy to get to. Well staffed on a Saturday evening. Quickly confirmed diagnosis and provided medication required to aid quick recovery. It’s very expensive owning a pet and needing out of hours care!

I’m so grateful for the speedy help and assistance after my dog managed to eat a battery on Boxing Day. We called and was told to go straight in and we were seen within a few minutes. We were given all the options and told what was happening each step. Our dog was fine and clearly in great hands.

I had a great experience with Dr. Carrera and her team. She was very empathetic and caring, took time to explain everything clearly, and truly wanted to help. The whole staff was friendly and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I’m really grateful for the excellent care my pet received! Highly recommend this clinic.

I felt comforted once I reached out from the first phone call to the directions sent my text message to my arrival at the surgery. The receptionist was professional with a genuine caring attitude. I was seen by a young vet who agreed that my dog was in pain but did very little in the way of investigating why. A quick check of her tummy, heart rate and a look over her gums (which were pale in colour) and administered pain relief. My dog had experienced a seizure at home for the first time and was seen within the hour mostly due to travel time to the practice. Sadly my dog had to be put to sleep the next morning after seeing her own vet, who carried out an ultrasound to find a tumour/growth on her spleen had ruptured causing her to bleed into the abdomen. I only wish the out of hours service had performed an ultrasound that evening as I hate to think my dog suffered before seeing her own vet the next day
