Through such a stressful and emotional time, I can’t thank the staff enough for the care and support they gave my cat. Their compassion, professionalism, and dedication helped her recover so quickly. The constant communication, regular calls and texts with updates, truly showed how much they care about their patients (and their owners!). If I could have them as my permanent vet providers, I absolutely would. Thank you again for everything! (Newport)

Exemplary care given to our dog, Bugsy, who was seriously ill after eating rotten food on Christmas Eve. We had phoned ahead and a nurse was waiting to take him into the surgery. A vet came out to explain what treatment would be necessary, along with the estimated cost, which I’m aware they are obliged to do. The whole team were very kind and reassuring in a very stressful scenario. We were kept updated by text overnight, so we knew our dog had stabilised and was recovering, which was a massive relief and we were able to collect him on the morning of Christmas Day. I would strongly recommend Vets Now in Newport to anyone for their professionalism coupled with compassion.

Visited on Sunday evening. They were the closest emergency vet to my home. Jasp was triaged very quickly by a lovely nurse, who treated him with care and compassion. Kate, the vet was superb, she listened to me and was incredibly thorough. Throughout our visit both Jasp and I were looked after by a really professional team. Thank you all.

Charged us over 2k. And this is the result!!! Due to poor care and lack of diagnosis from one of the vets at the Newport vets now. She let my dog go home with a fever and a severe infection and swollen foot full of abscess without draining it. Just over one night it developed to the point the abscess destroyed my dogs foot ripping his skin apart. My dog now has to have one of his fingers chopped off on his front left paw. as it’s dead with no blood going to it anymore and that’s the only option due to the vet not draining it before it was too late and not diagnosing him letting him go home. Thanks to your vet my dog won’t be able to go on walks for weeks to come, almost died due to the high fever and how bad the infection spread up his leg! He was moments from being too late. The different vet that saved my dog is a hero and was shocked that it was left over night. Shame on your vet and the lack of professionalism!

Zero stars. Exotic pet owners, avoid. Rushed here out of hours because they said they can treat birds. Only during my triage did they tell me they don't know much about birds, at which point it was too late for me to back out. Ended up getting a stool sample for them to send off so as to not completely waste my money and time. They never sent it off, didn't find out until we chased results over a week later. To add insult to injury they insisted I pay them £35 on top of the vet fees for "administrative costs" to deal with my insurer when I still had to do all the paperwork myself. Then they ignored my insurer for weeks until they threatened to permanently close my claim entirely. Absolute headache on top of everything else. My bird died a few weeks later. I'm not going to lay the blame entirely at Vets Now's door, but had we not had to delay his treatment due to the lost sample, he might have had a better prognosis. Editing to add a response to VN's reply. I was told by the receptionist that I HAD to pay the £35 fee if I was going to make an insurance claim, regardless of whether it is a reimbursement or a direct claim. Nothing about this standard of quality malarkey. No other vet has ever charged me for this, so make sure you go to a different vet and save your money. The fact VN claim I paid £35 for what essentially boils down to the vet's "seal of approval" when they knew absolutely nothing about birds and failed to do the bare minimum expected from a vet would be laughable if it hadn't had such severe ramifications for my bird. Pathetic.

Somewhere you never want to go, but when you do the staff are simply amazing. Excellent communication throughout, and phenomenal care. Special mention for Christian who our little Olive fell in love with! Thank you all x

We attended Vets Now, Newport yesterday (Saturday 21/02/26), with our 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier Archie who had suddenly developed breathing difficulties. All staff were very professional, compassionate and calming during what was for us a very worrying time. The vet nurse who triaged Archie was great... Unfortunately due to our state of panic we cannot recall her name. Archie then had a consultstion with vet Bianca Bossanello... She was great.... She not only calmed us down by explaining everything clearly, and reassuring us that Archies condition although alarming for us.... Was nothing as serious as it appeared.... His difficulties were caused by mild inflammation in his throat... After a thorough examination and Bianca giving lots of care and fuss to Archie we left content and fully reassured. Well done to all staff involved in Archies care yesterday.

I’ve had to use this emergency out of hours practice 4 times since having 2 boy cats (little sods!) I couldn’t ask for more from this place. They’re so kind, caring and understanding. Couldn’t be more welcoming, warm and supportive in awful situations. Highly recommend. Thank you to everyone there 🩷

We had to take our elderly dog to Vets Now on Bank Holiday Monday after he collapsed, and they were fantastic. There was no messing around on arrival, Jenny the receptionist was amazing and got our dog to the nursing team immediately, who triaged him and got him ready for the vet, gave him meds to make him comfortable and looked after him. The vet owain was lovely, really patient and kind, and answered all of our questions. I was very impressed with the quick, efficient and excellent care our dog recieved.
