I am writing this review to warn other pet owners: if I had listened to this clinic, my cat would be dead right now.
My experience here was traumatic. After an initial visit for my cat’s bladder issue, we returned 24 hours later. I was immediately blindsided by a demand for past fees (which had not been mentioned previously) and a quote of over £2000 for emergency care. Because I could not pay this upfront, I was given five minutes to decide whether to euthanise my 3-year-old cat.
When I refused euthanasia and opted to drain his bladder to buy time to see a different vet, the staff became hostile. The vet called me "cruel," blamed me for my cat's condition, and threatened to call the RSPCA if I took him home, despite my plan to seek care elsewhere the very next morning. To make matters worse, they injured my cat's claw while mishandling an IV removal, leaving it bleeding, his leg and paw swollen, and untreated.
UPDATE: I took my cat to Animal Trust the next morning. They performed an ultrasound, gave my cat an IV, pain medication, performed tests, and gave us medication to take home for only £220. They confirmed there was no blockage, no kidney stones, and he urinated normally upon arrival. This emergency clinic was ready to kill my cat over a blockage that did not exist.
Please, avoid this facility. They aggressively push for euthanasia if you cannot pay immediately, and they utilise guilt and threats rather than compassion. Please seek second opinions. Animals Trust were nothing but compassionate and had everything all laid out ready to go for when we got there.
