On the 5th of October, our Vets Now Newport clinic treated Alfie with a concerning issue - a urinary blockage. Our skilled veterinary team promptly placed a urinary catheter, restoring urine flow. However, several hours later, complications arose as the catheter became obstructed. X-rays revealed the presence of multiple stones in Alfie's bladder, and the decision was made to go to surgery and perform a cystotomy.
Alfie remained under the team's care for two days, and we are delighted to report that he has made a remarkable recovery. We are honoured to present Alfie with our Bravery Award, recognising his resilience. ❤️🏆 #bravepet
