Jock, an adventurous 1-year-old working crossbreed, had quite the ordeal after an off-lead walk through long grass left him with a chest wound and a collapsed lung. 🤕
He was rushed to our Glasgow hospital from his daytime vet, where our team acted quickly to drain air from his chest and stabilise him overnight. The next day, we performed advanced procedures to investigate further and clean up his wound. Thankfully, there were no hidden injuries or foreign objects! 🙏
With plenty of pain relief, fluids, and antibiotics, Jock made steady progress. By day three, his chest tube was out, his pain was under control, and he was back to eating and moving around comfortably.
After three days of intensive care and monitoring, Jock was ready to go home with his family. We’re so proud of his recovery and the teamwork that made it happen. ❤️
