We originally contracted Calen to add a dining room to our home, and we were more than pleased with the results. What seemed a complicated addition he made look easy. We were very happy with the job he did and how quickly he accomplished it. His long experience was evident when we discussed details before and during construction. We were so happy with his work on the dining room that we called him back to build a patio and roof next to our front porch. It's not quite finished but so far he's turning an idea into a beautiful addition to our home. We had already fully paid another contractor to build the patio and half way through the job he stopped showing up. Calen is finally getting the job done and it's beautiful. I highly recommend Calen for any construction or renovation work you need done. Very professional, and the only surprise was the high quality of his work and great attitude.

As the owner of a remote property in Montana I've used a number of contractors over the years, but by far the best I've worked with is Calen Larsen of Vertex Construction in Hamilton. The most recent project he finished for me was replacing all the windows on Western, Southern, and Eastern sides of my home. He completed the work on schedule and cost. Simply put, he's best and I won't use anyone else.

We are so thankful to Vertex for taking on the challenges of our job. Vertex had their hands full with the combination of a hand built homestead house and clients that had no clue about what was needed to do the requested job. They powered through the many supply chain setbacks and resulting weather conditions. Rolling with each issue as it developed as well as the requested addition of a handicapped ramp mid job. They worked with local people to get the multiple facets of the job done. Through the many frustrating challenges they remained professional, flexible, and respectful.

Vertex is responsive, professional and reliable. They did a great job with our concrete repair project where unexpected issues occurred. I appreciated his willingness and drive to get this completed in one visit. Our customer was very happy with the outcome!

I have never encountered somebody which has treated me with more professionalism and timely consideration for what I wanted to get done. I felt seen and cared for like a good friend. Open communication and quick response time with the greatest of care for my needs were paramount to these guys. I'm not sure if this statement resonates with anybody but I remember a time when businesses would treat you like a person and not like a dollar sign. In a quickly developing area like the Bitterroot, it's difficult to find any construction company that is willing to take on any job without up-charging you and treating you like garbage. Especially considering the amount of money that is available to them to work every possible job. If you're sick of getting treated like a dollar sign and you want somebody to care about what you want to get done, look no further than these guys. I will definitely come here in the future for anything I need to make my house more livable. I definitely recommend this business to anybody that wants to improve their home.

We had Vertex Construction build our barn their work was fabulous as a contractor of 30 years I could not recommend a better contractor. They did all their own excavation, all of my concrete, equipment rentals, materials orders was always on time, the carpentry work was very professional, we asked for metal roofing and siding and as a HAVC contractor I was always looking for a good sheet metal person Calen and Megan did a great job. They always returned my calls and answered any concerns I might have had and their costs for materials were very competitive. They are both very good equipment operators, I could not say enough about how professional their work was and I would recommend them highly 10 out of 10 for sure.

My husband and I used Calen to do the remodel job on our home. Calen did an amazing job. We needed a master bath added and a walk in closet in the master bedroom. This required our dining room wall to be moved also. The experience working with Calen was very good and the remodel job raised the selling price of our home considerably! He also helped my husband put a new roof on our garage! We will be using Calen for remodeling and/or building in the future. Money well spent!

We were new to Montana. We bought a house that needed to be updated. Our realtor referred us to Calan. He does everything big or small. He put in our beautiful luxury vinyl floors on the entire upstairs(and moved furniture), installed and made all our new appliances fit in an existing kitchen which took some finagling to fit and match, converted our electric stove to gas and sheet rocked all the holes made to do the job including texturing to match the existing wall. He put in a new bathroom vanity and plumbing, did tile work where he added a new shower door and put in a barn door in the hallway And he even got on the roof and extended flue pipes on top of the house to prevent snow blockage and painted to match the house. He referred us to who did our granite counters and carpet down stairs. If he doesn’t do the job he knows who can. He is willing to do what ever is needed big or small. When problems arise which things do on older homes, he always has solutions. We appreciate all you did on our house and your patience with us. Next year we will see you again to do the beams on the ceiling. Thank you for all your expertise on our house. It shows😀😀

We had just bought our retirement home in Hamilton and needed some things done and Calen's number was given to us by our realtor. No job was to big or too little for Calen!!! I know some contractors would turn their nose up to small jobs....not Calen!! I mean seriously, this guy can do it all....jack of all trades! And if he can't.....he knows someone that can!!! On time!!! Hard working!! No B.S. and gets the job done!!! My advice is don't pass up the opportunity to hire him! I feel completely grateful to have met him and he will always be our first call for ANYTHING that needs to be done at our house! Thank you Calen, we appreciate you immensely.

I highly recommend Calen! He answers his phone, is very communicative and gets bids out in a timely manner. Calen is honest and shows up when he says he will.
