𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥, 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬🥇🐀
This afternoon we attended a large domestic property in the Wetherby area following reports of rat activity within both the garage and the loft space. A previous pest control company had attended the site but was unable to identify any entry points and had relied solely on the use of rodenticides (poisons).
Upon our arrival, a full external and internal inspection was carried out. We immediately identified that the rats had been feeding on dry dog food stored within the garage. We also found that the garage door was not sitting flush to the ground, leaving a clear gap which the rats had been using as a direct access point into the property.
We also found visible grains of bait from the previous treatment scattered across multiple areas, indicating that the rats had been repeatedly travelling back and forth and dragging the bait through the property.
Corrective action has now been taken. Proofing measures have been implemented, and professional trapping has been installed within both the loft space and the garage to bring the activity under control.
Ongoing monitoring will now take place to ensure the infestation is fully resolved.
