This afternoon we carried out an in-depth site survey at a large apartment block in Wakefield town centre on behalf of our good friends at Peskys Pest Control.
Always good to help out fellow pest control companies when theyโre tied up with other commitments thatโs what itโs about.
On arrival, we were met by a tenant who showed us around so we could fully assess the situation and understand the ongoing issues within the block.
During the inspection, multiple plastic air vents had been pushed out from the inside something we donโt typically see unless thereโs pressure/activity coming from within.
Straight away this pointed towards a drainage issueโฆ not just surface-level activity.
Further investigation confirmed it ๐
A defective drain/gully at the front of the building was identified, with clear tunnel exits & gnawing strong indicators that rats are travelling through the drainage system & breaching into the property.
This is exactly why poison alone will NEVER solve the problem โ
