This evening, we attended a property in the Wakefield area after reports of a rat being seen inside the home.
Following our in-depth site survey, we identified several ingress points β including overhanging trees leading onto the roof and guttering, as well as an access gap beneath the cladding under one of the bay windows.
We also discovered a large compost heap containing discarded food waste, which had clearly been used as a regular food source by the rats.

Recommendations implemented:
β’ Cut back overhanging trees to remove roof access
β’ Seal and proof all identified entry points
β’ Remove and clean up the compost heap and old food waste
With these measures in place, weβll now monitor for any further activity to ensure the infestation is fully resolved.
