This rat was spotted investigating the waste bins at a domestic property in the Robin Hood area of Wakefield whilst looking through the window.
Rats will always search for easy food sources, especially around overflowing bins, waste left near properties & sheltered fence lines where they feel safe travelling unnoticed.
Following our inspection, we’ve now implemented a structured riddance programme to bring the infestation under control.
• Advised bins to be moved away from the property & fence line
• Recommended all bins are emptied regularly & not over flowing
• Advised bins are jet washed/disinfected to remove food residue & smells attracting rodents
• Harbourage areas around the bins to be reduced
Keeping waste areas clean and reducing food availability is one of the biggest factors in preventing rats from establishing around domestic properties.
