🕵🏼♂️𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 – 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞 🐀
Yesterday afternoon we carried out an in-depth rodent ingress and activity survey at a domestic property in the Holmfirth area of West Yorkshire after reports of rat sightings.
Our inspection identified multiple ingress points to the rear and left-hand side of the property, particularly around the steps, which rats had been using to gain access.
We also located nesting sites along the left-hand side of the property extending into a dry stone wall. It was noted that bird feeding at adjoining neighbouring properties is contributing to the issue by providing an ongoing food source.
Internally, we found significant rat activity, with evidence of feeding on bread, flour, and other food items. The client had also seen a rat inside the Christmas tree and near a chocolate advent calendar, confirming active internal foraging.
ℹ️A clear action plan and control programme has now been advised to bring this infestation under control and prevent further ingress.
