TREE BEES OFTEN MISTAKEN FOR WASPS
We’ve recently had many call-outs across Yorkshire for “wasp activity” around guttering, soffits and bird boxes, but many are actually European tree bees.
These bees are harmless pollinators commonly found nesting in bird boxes, roof voids and small gaps around properties during warmer months. Unlike wasps, they are generally non-aggressive and beneficial to the environment.
However, we understand that heavy bee activity around homes, patios or play areas can still cause concern.
If bee activity around your property is becoming an issue i.e you’re bird boxes etc, we can assist with safe removal and relocation where possible. Please note a call-out fee applies for attendance and assessment.
Correct identification is important before any action is taken.
