This afternoon, a full site survey was conducted following reports of rats being heard within the boxed-in area where the internal soil stack is located.
During the inspection, confirmed evidence of rat activity was found within the loft space. The pattern of activity clearly indicated that the issue was linked to the internal soil stack (waste pipe), suggesting access via the drainage system.
To investigate further, our technician carried out a drainage camera inspection. This revealed a significant defect at the base of the rest bend, creating a clear ingress point.
It is evident that rats are travelling through the drainage system and gaining direct access into the property via this fault.
