This morning we attended a domestic property in the Robin Hood area of Wakefield where we found rats had gnawed straight through the bottom of a green recycling bin.
Why? Because the bin wasnโt just recycling it had been mixed with food waste. Thatโs an open invitation for rodents looking for an easy meal.
Rats will gnaw through almost anything when searching for food or shelter even your council issued bins arenโt safe!
We also noticed underneath the green recycling bin the rats have actually tunnel & made a nesting site.
If youโre noticing damage, droppings or gnaw marks around your bins or garden, itโs a clear sign rats are nearby and action is needed before it gets worse.
