In this video, we attended a large plant room in Leeds city centre where a serious rat problem had been reported.
Our working terriers were deployed to identify active harbourage and ingress routes.
Youโll see Poppy & Penny using their natural scenting abilities to locate an active nesting site inside an old cardboard box left by contractors fortunately the Rat was back in the drain and not in the cardboard box at present.
The dogs traced the route back to a redundant, uncapped manhole beneath one of the main generators. A direct access point from the drainage system into the building.
This confirms that without fixing the source of entry, any baiting or trapping alone would only be a temporary solution.
