I recently hired Veeto Painting Co. to refinish a metal spiral staircase with wood treads in my home, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. This was not a simple paint job. The staircase has detailed metal work and high-quality wood steps that required careful sanding, prep, priming, painting, staining, and sealing. We approached the project thoughtfully, with clear expectations around prep, containment, finish quality, and sequencing. Michael was professional, communicative, and highly attentive to detail. During sanding, he pointed out that the wood was higher quality than it initially appeared and suggested alternative stain options that would better complement the material. We reviewed samples together and selected a finish collaboratively. The final color stayed true to the original design intent but enhanced the natural beauty of the wood. That level of care stood out. We also adjusted technique mid-project. Initial brush application did not achieve the level of finish we both wanted on the metal components. After discussing options, we agreed to switch to spray application with proper containment. The result was a smooth, uniform finish that looks excellent under both daylight and 4000K lighting. What impressed me most was Michael's pride in workmanship. He was open to discussion, responsive to detail, and focused on getting the result right -- not just completing the job quickly.
