I am extremely disappointed with my experience as a new patient at this clinic. I had taken an entire afternoon off to attend my first appointment, only to be told upon arrival that the doctor had left early for the weekend. They claimed they could not notify me because, as a new patient, they didn’t have my phone number. Yet the form they handed me to fill out already included my email address, which they could have used to inform me—but they didn’t. This lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and completely unprofessional. I rescheduled my appointment for the following week. During my second visit, I completed all necessary tests for vision and eye health. Dr. Gisela Verdez was wonderful and attentive, and I appreciated her professionalism. However, the experience after the tests was unacceptable. I finished my appointment at 6 PM, with only the doctor and me left, as the receptionists had already gone home. Dr. Verdez gave me my contact lens prescription and instructed me to leave it on the desk for the receptionist to order my lenses. Weeks went by, and all I received was a bill—my lenses never arrived. When I called the clinic, they told me they never received the prescription and that I would need to redo all the exams and pay again if I wanted my prescription. This level of disorganization and lack of responsibility is shocking. As a patient, I felt completely ignored and disrespected. I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

Dr Velez and the staff here are incredible. The staff is friendly and efficient and Dr Velez goes above and beyond for her patients. As a newer patient who was afraid of getting shots in their eye, she reassured me several times and made sure I was comfortable before continuing. Ex even after making sure I was ok before I left. The care she provides is top notch and I’m grateful to her for her compassion and excellent care.
