I went here for my 40th birthday and it was such a wonderful experience!! The restaurant is so pretty inside, has plenty of seating and nice decor. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, they take good care of you from entering to leaving after your meal. We ordered our food it wasnt a long wait and looked and smelled fantastic let alone the taste. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection and not too expensive we were all so delighted and a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this restaurant too anyone and have to many already. Cant wait for another visit

You guys are the best. I left a comment when ordering about cauliflower cheese and you went above and beyond. This place is the best in Wakefield for Sunday dinners proper Sunday roast

Wow wow wow this place is amazing. On arrival the staff open the doors welcome you with the friendliest smile, show you to your table and allow the perfect amount of time to choose your meal. The food is just out of this world this for sure is the best Italian I have been to in West Yorkshire! (And I have been to lots including big chain ones too) The atmosphere here is brilliant, very clean and authentic even down to the lighting. Staff so the staff are a pure delight so attentive and clearly very happy with the vibes they give.

Food and service weren't amazing but it was Christmas eve, maybe everyone just wanted to go home 😂 It took a while to get us seated and we didn't get served at the bar while we were waiting for our table because they only had one member of staff behind the bar and he had a backlog of drinks to make, so we just stood around for almost 10 minutes. When we finally were about to be served, the waiter asked us to follow him to our table so we still didn't get a drink. The food was nice but nothing to shout about. We all said we wouldn't rush back again, but it might suit other people more than it did us.

£12 BURGER ? .... STAY AWAY! Right guys £24 for what you see in the pictures. To build half of what they give you at McDonald's would cost you £14+ and if the meat was good you wouldn't mind but when I tell you this is the worst meet I've had is a understatement! The £6 mushrooms .. well you would be better taking some from the garden and putting them in milk warm water !

Simple pasta beautifully cooked with fresh ingredients. Smiling personable waitresses smartly dressed. Nice background music, not too loud. Will definitely come again.

We visited for a family birthday and arrived to find the restaurant about half full. The serving staff were all very polite but clearly struggling as the drinks and food took a long time, far longer than you’d expect. Our drinks order took about 25 mins, but annoyingly it was sat on a tray by the bar for almost half that time. The atmosphere was only really impacted by a very very noisy table which we were next to. They all shouted at each other meaning we just couldn’t really talk and the waiting staff found it difficult to take our order. Could not fault the food though, it was excellent.

It’s been a while since I last visited Valentino's so thought I’d give the recently introduced breakfast menu a try. If I wanted nostalgia I definitely got it, the place has not seen a decorative overhaul in over 20 years and looks dated and somewhat tatty; although that said it is spotlessly clean & tidy. Previous visits have always provided warm and friendly hospitality with exceptional food. Front of house saw 2 very polite, smartly dressed, welcoming young men who couldn't do enough to try and make our experience a positive one. 2 coffees ordered…. 1 and a half coffees (see images) came 20 minutes later…. unsure of why there was such a delay as there were only five people in the restaurant and that included myself and my wife. Not the biggest issue in the world to wait for coffee so remained optimistic and ordered 2 ‘hash eggs benedict’. First of our two hash benedict arrived 40 minutes later and was over cooked / hard yolks…. this one had to go back! 5 minutes later the second hash benedict arrived…. I still cannot figure out why both dishes did not arrive together. 15 minutes later replacement for the first hash benedict arrived. The place was exceptionally quiet with only myself, my wife plus 3 other members of the public which unfortunately led to a very cold atmosphere (not sure how this can be improved…maybe some more upbeat music or even a music channel or the news on a large screen, as it is morning) Given the restaurant was so quiet I cannot for the life of me figure out why the total wait time for 2 coffees and 2 hash benedict was 1 hour 15 minutes. With a stiff competition of Italian restaurants within the area I am unsure how Valentinos can be sustainable as a business if this usual practice. Front of house excellent….. management and kitchen staff disappointing. The the elusive management is definitely failing this restaurant.

It was our first visit to Valentino’s for a birthday meal. The food was okay but arrived cold, which was disappointing. Drinks took quite a while to come, and our meals took over an hour to arrive. The staff were polite and friendly, though they seemed a bit understaffed and appeared to be focusing more on takeaway orders than dine-in customers. The restaurant itself was very hot and uncomfortable, and the music was quite loud, which made it difficult to relax and chat. Overall, it felt quite expensive for what it was and not quite the experience we’d hoped for.

My family and I recently had a fantastic experience at Valentinos. The restaurant manager, Carlos, was the consummate host, with a comprehensive command of the menu, and able to offer a brilliant recommendation. Our drinks waiter, Giorgio, was extremely attentive and interacted wonderfully with our children; and Ryan, who dealt with our food, treated us like royalty. A class act all round.
