I want to tell you a story about Bill Hannigan going back many years. I had inherited stocks from my grandmother, and with five children, we needed the money, so we cashed them in. We went to a well-known Tax Prep company in Columbus, Oh, and had that year's taxes prepared. Instead of getting the refund shown on the return, we got a letter from the IRS saying we owed almost $13k. At work the next day, I was furious, telling my coworkers about the problem.
