A #varicocele is a condition in which the veins in the scrotum (the pouch of skin that holds the testicles) are enlarged. This condition is similar to varicose veins, the twisted, swollen veins that can be found in the legs.
About 15%* of all adult men have a varicocele and usually develop during puberty. They can grow larger and more noticeable over time. Oftentimes, varicoceles do not cause problems and are completely harmless. However, should your varicocele cause pain or affect fertility, #Varicocelectomy may be recommended to fix the issue.
