Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in Singaporean men*, with the risk of getting it increasing beyond the age of 50.
According to Dr Lee Fang Jann, prostate cancer can be a slow-moving disease that has little to no symptoms in the early stages and develops over months to years. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and we would like to remind men, especially those over 50, to go for regular prostate checks. Prostate cancer screening allows for the disease to be identified in its early stages when it is most treatable. Remember, early detection saves lives!
