They saved our Kaluah after she bit a juvenile water moccasin in half (got her once or twice). They updated us often and were priced appropriately. They went above and beyond in saving her life and we are very appreciative. I’m a little late posting this but I realized I hadn’t shared our experience with this vet and it deserves sharing.

Dr. Paul is amazing! My pup was having incontinence issues which was very concerning because she's 3 and Dr. Paul was able to get to the root of the problem 1,2,3. He put my mind at ease with his diagnosis. Now my pup is doing much better and I don't have to worry. Also, very kind and compassionate staff. Erin was a great checking us in and getting my pups vitals. She offered me a bandana sprayed with something that would help my dog be less anxious. It's my pups new favorite fashion accessory! The office is very new and clean. Great examination rooms.

My Sadie girl came in twice this thanksgiving weekend with some colitis. EVERY PERSON from the front desk, assistant and doctors that we came into contact with was so sweet, caring and patient. Highly recommend this emergent clinic for your needs.

Do not recommend especially for anything dire. The first picture is what she looked like when we found her and brought her in. The second is what she looked like after the vet got a hold of her. The Dr was roughly dry ripping the scabs off her eye in front of us. I don’t know what they did once they took her from view. Friday night we found a badly hurt kitten. Both eyes were extremely swollen and bulging out of her head. Badly scabbed over. Best I could do was clean around her mouth and nose. She was so small I had to use a q-tip and there was no way to safely clean her eyes. Was just going to give her a comfortable place to rest while she passed, but she was purring, eating and drinking after being brought home. She was obviously trying to live. Unfortunately every vet clinic within distance was closed until Monday and she looked like she needed help immediately. It was about an hour drive, but went to Urgent Care Vet in PC as an only option the very next day. Everything started out great. Staff seemed nice and everything was very clean inside. I had really high hopes and thought for sure she’d be taken good care of. There was a different vet on duty than usual but was assured she was a good one. When I brought the kitten in she had a very obvious ruptured and swollen eye. It wasn’t bleeding however. Immediately after the vet came in to look at her the Dr started ripping dried scabs off her eye. No topical medication, no pain meds, no loosening the scabs… just straight ripped them off. I’m no vet professional… but that did not look like normal procedure or humane. That poor kitten was in so much pain compared to when I found her. The Dr took her out after seeing I had an issue with how she was being handled. When they brought her back her eye was hanging outside her head… swollen still, and bleeding. The kitten was making silent meows and badly hurting. She was purring in my lap the whole time we were waiting to be seen. Now she looked 10 times worse than the already bad condition she was brought in. AFTER I was shaken and crying they brought in a pain shot to give the kitten. Then gave us the option to save her but pay about $3.8k immediately (despite their website claiming to have payment options like care credit), or let me take her back home with antibiotics and pain meds until we can find another vet… which would have been more appropriate had the vet not caused worse trauma to the wound before giving that option. Or I could spend $368 to have her put down. It was hard enough scrounging up over a grand in the hopes she could’ve been saved so only thing I could do was have her euthanized. Especially after the condition they brought her back to me in. I was thinking I was helping this animal by coming all that way to see them. All the reviews seemed like it would be safe and I ignorantly ignored the negative ones thinking maybe it was just an accident. But after the experience I had personally I regret not taking more care. I have been so upset over the situation and tried so hard to make sense of it. I knew it would be expensive being an emergency situation… but it did not seem normal for them to have treated the kitten so roughly when she was already in such a terrible condition. I couldn’t afford 3-4 thousand dollars on the spot no matter how bad I wanted to save her. I also couldn’t bring her back home with her eye hanging out for two more days… I am so disappointed in how they handled the entire ordeal. I couldn’t believe THIS is what that veterinary doctor thought was the appropriate action taken. They also let us leave after the euthanasia without having to wait around and said it was so we wouldn’t have to be put through anymore trouble. It wasn’t until the next day after my nerves settled that I realized we never even got any paperwork for the visit. Maybe that’s the norm, but with everything else that went on I’m not sure what is and isn’t.

For at least 6 months we took our two dogs to Dr. Paul. Because of how amazing the staff is and Dr. Paul are. To be honest, we PREFER to go here over regular offices. And cost was probably a little higher but even after going to a local vet for a check up it wasn’t bad. (They offer military discount) With my family’s busy schedule and timing we had to go here. Urgent Care Vet helped one our dogs, Macy through surgery and the healing of her tail. They were extremely thorough and caring. Later in the year when our sweet Pitt started having issues they treated and cared for her until the end. It was such a hard decision to make but Dr. Paul helped us get through the grief and weight of our decision. The staff and Dr. Paul worked to make ours and our dog’s transition as smooth as possible. Obviously so incredibly hard regardless, but we are so grateful for Urgent Care Vet. We highly recommend.

There simply aren't enough words to express the gratitude my husband and I have for Dr. Paul and the entire staff at UrgentCareVet clinic. After a terrible accident, they took our little pup, Phinn, in with the greatest of care and compassion. They kept him until he was stable and ready to come home with us. The texts from them throughout the time he was with them were a wonderful comfort. We highly, HIGHLY recommend this clinic should your pet ever need emergency care.

The experience was great. The staff was all very helpful with my unending questions. The doctors were compassionate and helpful at explaining what was going on. I felt good about leaving my baby girl there for almost 3 full days as she was nursed back to health. Pricing was fair, the wait was never long. I only wish the updates were a bit more frequent but I understand why that’s not always possible. Thank you all for helping me during one of the worst weekends of my life.

I run rescue for senior dogs and dogs with medical issues. I rarely have the chance to make an appointment for a normal checkup. This practice is a Godsend for this area. Dr Paul is awesome, he cares about your pet but also cares about the person. His staff is very kind and caring as well. Another awesome thing about this practice, unlike other "Urgent Care" Vets here and across the country... It's locally owned! Decisions are not made based on corporate quota or profit, they are made based on the patient....

This vet was outstanding! They knew exactly how to treat our very sick dog while we were on vacation. Best of all, they communicated with us regularly and did what they said they would do. I hope you don’t need their services as an emergency vet, but if you do, I highly recommend them.

For Troop The Brave I walked into Urgent Care Vet with a broken heart and a tiny injured stray kitten I had found on the side of the road. I named him Troop—short for Trooper—because even in his fragile state, I could tell he had a fighting spirit. The staff didn’t just see a stray that day. They saw a life that mattered. They treated Troop with gentleness, urgency, and deep compassion—and they treated me the same. When it became clear that he wouldn’t survive, they made sure his passing was peaceful, pain-free, and filled with dignity. What moved me most is that, seeing how heartbroken I was, they chose to waive the cost of care. Not because I asked, but because they genuinely cared. That kind of grace and empathy is rare. They made it possible for Troop’s final moments to be filled with love, not fear. Thank you, from the deepest part of my heart, for giving him that. And thank you for helping me carry the weight of goodbye. He may have only been with me for a short time, but because of you, he left this world surrounded by care. I’ll never forget what you did for us. With love and gratitude, Savannah (and Troop the Brave)
