We had to bring our Clyde in today for a very bad uti. First time coming to the Urgent Pet Prescott and I was absolutely amazed by the care and compassion from staff towards my daughter, granddaughter and I. Clyde was taken care of promptly and it felt very nice having all of his after care instructions explained thoroughly. For being an Urgent care, the cost of service was very reasonable. I highly recommend Urgent Pet Prescott!! Thank you again for taking excellent care of my Grand Furbaby! 💜

I lost my sweet 13 year old cat late yesterday to saddle thrombus aka aortic thromboembolism which caused my boy to be paralyzed in his hind legs and in excruciating pain. Everything happened so fast I’ve barely had time to process that my bubbaloo is gone. I owe the vet and staff my deepest gratitude for their care and compassion. They did all they could to get his pain under control before I had to make the only humane decision there was.

I had never ever taken my dog Coco into a vet and she was now 15 1/2 years old and was deaf and blind. I just wanted to take her in for an evaluation as I could see she was deteriorating rapidly. They asked me two questions. Does she still wag her tail when you scratch your back the answer was yes. Does she act like she is in pain and I replied no. She could no longer see well enough to navigate to go to the bathroom and she would just go anywhere. So I lined special room where she would sleep with pads and that took care of the problem. She would sleep 20 hours a day but was very happy it seemed. I originally had taken her there to see if it was her time. After the tests and evaluations They assured me that it probably was not yet. That was reassuring and I took her home. Several weeks later she did pass away. If you were looking for a Locally owned compassionate and caring veterinarian in Prescott I would highly recommend Dr Amie Dow. her assistants Cozette and Erin and Urgent Pet Prescott hands down.

I just recently took my 13.5 year old pit bull in for some issues she was having. We ended up having to put her down. When I tell you the staff of this place was HANDS DOWN the most compassionate, caring and understand I mean it! They made everything so comfortable for us and our girl. Thank you all for being there at such a tough time . Thanks for all the kindness you showed to us and our baby! We appreciate you!

I recently had to take a cat to Urgent Pet Prescott because he was very ill. Sadly, the outcome was not what I had hoped for but everyone at Urgent Pet Prescott was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Armon gave me very clear information of what to do and how to proceed. She showed me everything on her computer and went through the bloodwork piece by piece. Extremely thorough. Everyone that I dealt with there was very professional, compassionate, patient, kind and very clear about what we needed to do. Although it was a situation that could not be reversed I felt very cared for during the entire process. It was the best veterinary experience that I’ve had in my 22 years in Prescott.

Our 12 week old Flat Coated Retriever decided he was going to jump out of my wife's moving SUV and fell to the ground, breaking his femur and in terrible pain. Rushing our puppy, Pilot, to Urgent Care Prescott was a wonderful decision. Attending doctor Amie Dow was comforting, compassionate, and thoroughly explained the conditions and need for prompt surgery after x-rays, and prediction for a full recovery and normal life for this active hunting breed; she prescribed and provided pain and sedation medication at once, and arranged for us to take Pilot to CARE Surgery Center in the Glendale, Phoenix, area at 9 am the next morning since no local Prescott vet hospitals could preform the necessary operation. He is now doing fine and back to his recovery phase, and it was very kind and welcome for Urgent Pet Prescott to provide follow-up calls about his operation and post-op condition. I sincerely hope you never have a situation with your pet as serious as what we experienced, but I can wholeheartedly give my highest recommendation to this excellent and caring emergency canine and pet hospital. Everyone here is caring and professional with information, instructions, and concern. The community is lucky to have this fine vet clinic!

I cannot say enough great things about this vets office. Our dog had surgery in the valley on Monday and by the time we got home we could tell something was wrong. Our vet told us find an ER vet up here since it was end of day and I could get back in time. Even though they were almost closed they immediately welcomed us in and took amazing care of my guy. They were so kind and compassionate to me and my dog, you can tell they genuinely care about animals. They stayed well after close to help go over options and care plans until I could get him to Phoenix the next morning for a second emergency surgery. The next day they even called just to follow up and see if he had gotten his second surgery and how he was doing. You wont find a more caring vet staff. I’d give them 100 stars if I could.

These people are THE BEST. My 18 year old cat has always been extremely aggressive with vets but the first time I brought him to Urgent Pet he was docile for the first time ever! Their kindness and professionalism is exceptional and they seem to be happy individuals who genuinely enjoy helping animals. I am SO GRATEFUL for these wonderful humans and their uniformly solid work ethic!!

Our Malinois ingested Foxtail. They sedated her and explored; but couldn’t find anything. They gave us some medicine to give her which we have done. Her symptoms abated and she’s doing fine now cost $500. Ouch! We would go back.
