Urgent Care at Westridge Health Center

Both the student nurse and the attending APRN, Kirstin Nguyen, were fantastic. With an infected ear and a plugged auditory canal, things can be so sensitive. The irrigation water was the perfect temperature. The pressure used to clear was surprisingly comforting. Although the University of Utah is a teaching medical center, the quality of the student was such that it was hard to tell he was not a veteran of many years. Kirstin Nguyen made a smooth transition to verify a great job and proceeded to diagnose and prescribe a treatment to resolve the infection. The care was superb, and recovery is progressing.

I always visit this urgent care whenever I need medical help. The staff are professional, kind, and always treat me with respect and care. The place is clean, organized, and the service is fast. I truly appreciate their great work and highly recommend this clinic to everyone.

The entire experience was amazing!! The lady who checked me in was very kind and helpful and made me feel important. I was taken back almost immediately to a room by a CNA/MA who was very efficient and let me know what to expect. I was then seen in 5 minutes or less by an exceptional nurse practitioner who made me feel very comfortable and her diagnosis and treatment plan. The final amazing aspect was I walked out straight out to the pharmacy expecting to check in and wait for my prescription -- but no it was already ready for me to pick up. I couldn't be more satisfied or pleased about the kind, efficient service I received.

Everyone from the receptionist at the front desk to both the nurse and doctor I saw were very attentive, friendly, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend The U of U Westridge Health Center to anyone needing their services!

Both the nurse and nurse practitioner were kind and listened to me. I felt they went above what was needed and gave good advise. I always receive the best service at Westridge.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I was seen in a timely manner, and they made sure all patients were wearing masks, and had hand sanitizer handy. Definitely would recommend.

Great urgent care center. Huge place and can perform any procedure or test short of surgery. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend

I took my daughter into urgent care mid March for some discomfort/pains she was having. She was “seen” by Amanda Dickey. The wait times are horrible. There were only a few people there and it took them 2 hours to see us even after joining the online waitlist. The nurses are actually really nice, but the doctor couldn’t care less about you. No exam was done or anything by anyone. They said they had to collect a sample and do a test. They said the results from the lab could take 2-3 days. They came back the next day on MyChart. I waited to receive a message from the “doctor” that saw us that day to let us know what they mean and how to proceed forward. Yet to this day, April 3, I have not received a call or message from anyone. This is the first time I come to this location, because it was the closest to my home. In the future I will make the drive to a different location where I know the staff does care about the care and wellbeing of their patients.

During my recent urgent care visit, I had the pleasure of being cared for by Jessica Mitchell, and I truly appreciated her approach. Unlike some healthcare experiences where I’ve felt dismissed, Jessica took the time to listen to my concerns, explain her reasoning clearly, and ensure I understood my care plan. She was incredibly calming, knowledgeable, and compassionate, making a stressful situation much easier to handle. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients, and I’m grateful for the excellent care she provided. Thank you, Jessica!

Everyone did a great job. I believe Amy at the front desk checked me in, I think she was from Tooele. Stephany was the nurse that checked me in and did my vitals. Very professional, listens, smiles and what really impressed me was she waited to do my blood pressure, to give me a chance to relax. Other places I've been to, don't do that. They immediately put the cuff on me and started the machine. Needles to say it came out higher. Nikki was the PA was also great. She smiles, pays attention, askes questions and listens to suggestions that I had.
