Urgent Care at Greenwood Health Center

My nurse (I don’t remember her name but she was so kind) and the doctor (Jeff, he’s awesome) were attentive, friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The front desk receptionist was also kind and helpful; she gave me a very clear and pretty accurate time for when I would be able to see someone, and the waiting room had plenty of reasonably comfortable seating. Even stressed out about my health, I was way less anxious at Greenwood than I have been during previous medical visits to different hospitals. I really appreciate the effort and goodness of the U Health teams.

We were greeted very warmly. The nurse immediately offered a Ukrainian translator, which was helpful later. The doctor examined my son thoroughly and gave clear recommendations. Overall, both the doctor and the nurse were very friendly. Thank you for your help!!!

A friendly helpful neighbor when health concerns isn't an emergency. The staff is personable and professional. And wait times can be reserved in advance on MyChart (be sure to click the submit button at the very bottom). They are up to date on tests and it has a comfortable atmosphere with a pharmacy on site.

If you have a sick baby go somewhere else! The 1st nurse that tried take temp said 98, but I KNEW he had a fever so asked the dr to redo it when she came in and it was 102.3. I expressed concern about ear infection Dr. Looked and said too much ear wax to tell but looks red. No attempt to clean it so she could get a better look. Her hair was all over his face while she checked him. He pooped while they were taking his temperature and I asked if they had any wipes to clean it up and they just looked at each other like they had no clue, so my husband went and grabbed ours. Nurse that tucked him out was great but everyone else obviously don't work with peds very often.

Terrible experience here. I knew my exact situation before coming, and called ahead to ensure I could get IV fluids, because that's all I needed. I explained my situation in advance, and was assured I could get fluids. When I finally saw the doctor, she parroted back to me exactly what I told her, then said they weren't well equipped to give me IV fluids. To quote her words: "If this were truly an emergent situation, we could get you hooked up to an IV. Since it's not, we'll have you go to the Emergency Room." In what world does the UC tell you to go to the ER because it's NOT an emergency? And then bill you ~$1000 for your lost time. Go elsewhere for your medical needs. I recommend Jordan Valley hospital. They were attentive and honest, and the bill I got from their ER was about the same as Greenwood UC, except I actually got what I came for. Thank God my insurance is decent, or I would have paid $1800 for a liter of saline. The US health system is garbage.

The Urgent Care at Greenwood is great. Every time we go, we are treated with respect, care, and concern. The wait is usually short, but even when it's not, the care is worth the wait to me. Added to that, they're open every day into the night, and I love that I can pick up any prescriptions immediately after my appointment in the pharmacy.

I have been going to Greenwood Health Center for over ten years and have been very satisfied with the level of care I have been given.

Your feedback: I felt terrible with flu-like symptoms. I went into Greenwood’s Urgent Care for the first time. Checking was done very professionally and efficiently. I was especially impressed by the friendliness of my check-in person (didn’t catch his name). He told me the approximate wait time and because the UC waiting room was pretty full, I asked if I could please sit down the hall a bit. He said, “Fine - We’ll come and get you if you don’t hear your name called.”. The wait time was less than expected and I was again greeted by a friendly MA who checked my vitals and took a couple swab samples. Christine (PA) then met with me a few minutes later and again was very professional and friendly. I felt confident in her assessment and she was patient and took time to answer my questions. All this time, I felt terrible because of my illness, but the U of U Urgent Care staff made me feel important and their thoroughness and kindness during my interactions with all of them is really appreciated. I hope I don’t have more problems requiring Urgent Care, but wow, what a great resource! The Greenwood UC team and leaders should be proud of how they treat patients with unplanned health needs. All of the clinicians that assisted me from checking in at the Urgent care desk to the medical assistant or nurse who took my vitals and listened care to my complaints of not feeling well and especially the PA, all helped me to relax and know I was in good care. I was really impressed with 2 procedures. 1) Since my main symptoms were possible UTI related. As soon as I was checked in the person who checked me in set me up to get a urine sample which was very considerate both for comfort and to expedite the visit. 2) Both the nurse or medical assistant and the PA took the time to explain that the bacteria would be cultured to make sure the prescribed antibiotics were effective in treating the infection. And if not the antibiotics would be changed. I felt very secure knowing that the infection would be cleareed up as quickly as possible because they would be informed on the accurate medication in a timely manner.

The staff are so friendly. I got in a little sooner than the wait time I was told and did not have to wait in a room long before the nurse and shortly after the PA came in. Both very knowledgeable and caring. Very good experience!
