About
We make it easy for you to understand your dog’s behaviour and learn how to create the dog that fits your home and family. Through fun and positive classes, workshops and consultations, we ‘unpack’ dog training into all of its components, in a way that simplifies the task for you. We teach you what you need to know about understanding your dog's breed specific characteristics, experiences, environment and the relationship between human and dog. Our knowledge and experience are deeply embedded in up to date, scientific, evidence based training. From pre-puppy purchase advice, puppy classes, adolescent and adult classes, scent detection classes, behavioural consultations, and workshops, we cover all life stages.

My Cocker Spaniel, Dottie and I completed the Adolescent/Life Skills Training Level 1 with Unpacked Dog Training and the results have been great. From day one, we have seen an improvement in Dottie’s walking and her recall. ​As a high-energy spaniel, she can get easily distracted but now other dogs and people are becoming much less scary for her. We are learning to shift her focus back to us rather than everything else in the environment. ​Leigh and Tanya provide incredibly useful, easy to follow advice and detailed notes after each session. We feel much better equipped for the outside world and look forward to continuing her training in the months to come!

Having done both the scent classes and adolescent class, I found Tanya and Leigh to be exceptional! The classes are small so assistance is always there. There's zero judgement which is amazing for any owners with reactive dogs. I loved the sense of team not only from Tanya and Leigh, but also from the other participants. Most importantly, the courses were fun with lots of humor to break up the seriousness of dog training/dog sports. Highly recommend! Thanks Tanya and Leigh.
