Had a nightmare waste pipe clog in 2 upper units of a 4-unit rental that had to be fixed immediately. We rented a snake but no luck clearing it. Called Universal and said we need your best snake guy for a difficult clog. They sent Jeff who was polite, hard working, and very knowledgeable and was able to clear the clog in about a half hour. He had to use a cutting head on the snake to get through the flushable wipes clog but it eventually cleared. And though I wasn't expecting it, he even brought in some spray cleaner and towel and cleaned the floor and walls from the mess the snake made. I can't say enough good things about Jeff. I was very stressed out over this situation as it was the weekend and my tenants were upset they could not use their water or toilets. Jeff not only did a great job he reduced my stress by joking around about some of the unusual plumbing issues we both experienced over the years. I own several rentals and have called many plumbers and Jeff is my favorite. And this was his last stop of the day and I imagine he was quite tired. The task of replacing the old sewer line in the house was immense! That said, we were pleased with the work and speed that it was accomplished. All workers were courteous and considerate. Jeff came out same day due to our storm drain backing up into our basement. He came in and explained what he thought was going on and everything he was going to do to complete the job. Five star service from start to finish! The office staff was professional, polite and thorough. My repair was scheduled promptly. An entire crew showed up the morning of the repair and were all courteous and well mannered. The guys explained everything completely and in a manner that was easily understood. They wore protective booties in my home and cleaned all the mess and debris. I appreciate the professional work ethic that the staff had throughout the entire experience. I will definitely recommend and use Universal for all my plumbing needs. I appreciated the call I received soon after the men left asking about my services and ensuring my satisfaction.

I had a persistent issue with a drain backing up and finally called for help. The plumber quickly diagnosed the problem and used a hydro jet to thoroughly clear the line — it’s running perfectly now. They also replaced the trip waste and overflow, which was outdated and causing slow draining in the tub. Everything was done professionally and efficiently. The plumber explained what they were doing, kept the area clean, and made sure I understood how to maintain the drain moving forward. Pricing was fair for the work and peace of mind I got. Sprung a significant leak in a steel wastewater drain line under the kitchen sink just days before Thanksgiving. Damien and Max were able to resolve what could have ended up as demolition work with a creative and affordable solution, all in time for Thanksgiving Dinner. They were awesome to chat with and explained the work thoroughly before getting started. They were also very respectful of our home and left things as clean as before they arrived. Thank you!

Early this morning my heat stopped working. I called Universal and the girl I spoke with was friendly and set me up with an appointment today, on a Sunday morning, temps below zero and inches of snow. Shane T cane out to my house less than 2 hours later. He was very friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He fixed my problem for me and had a way to prevent this from happening in the future, so that I won’t wake up one day and have the same problem. I had another company come out a couple of months ago for maintenance and ever since they left- I’ve been having problems with my furnace and thermostat and have never had any problems before this of had anything like this happen before. From now on, I will only call Universal!! I trust they will do a great job and won’t have to worry if it’s done right! Quality work with peace of mind! Shane and everyone at Universal today were above and beyond great! I will definitely use and refer them in the future! Very grateful and appreciative. Thank you!

Our plumber Arthur was on time and knowledgeable about our issue. He took time to look for solutions as we had some unique issues with our plumbing. I appreciated his willingness to discuss the issues and possible solutions. The scheduling was easy and the overall experience was excellent Any future issues we will reach out to Universal again
