We got a brand new 50-year roofing system and a siding system as well. These guys do not cut corners. They installed everything according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines. I recently hired United Roofing to replace the roof on my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, every step of the process was handled with professionalism, transparency, and care. Their team was punctual, courteous, and highly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain all my options, provided a detailed and fair estimate, and kept me informed throughout the project. What really stood out was their attention to detail—both in terms of craftsmanship and cleanup. When the job was done, my property was spotless, and the new roof looked fantastic. They also helped me navigate the insurance process, which saved me time and stress. It’s rare to find a contractor that combines quality work with outstanding customer service, but they have truly delivered on both fronts. I would confidently recommend them to anyone in need of roofing repairs or replacements. They’ve earned my trust, and I’ll definitely call them again for any future work.

My relationship with this company started back prior to June 2019. The original estimator was friendly and professional. Estimate was given and I contacted my insurance company to process my claim on my roof, fascia and soffit. Work was originally promised for fall 2019, it was not until January 2020 that the majority of the work, the roof was completed. Once they received my first insurance claim payment, they immediately changed their behavior. The original promise to install the roof went from early fall to late fall to winter to January 2020. Work was completed so fast, it was substandard. Absolutely no attention to detail whatsoever by the installer team. Installed 14 squares, not a big job. The lower edges of my shingles are wavy and areas throughout the roof, shingles are not laying flat down even months after extremely hot weather. Did not cleanup the job. Nails and green roofing tabs left all over my from and back yard. From that point it all went downhill. The original estimated, was no longer with the company. The Account Manager or Office Manager was working from home and using her personal cell phone. I immediately contact her to express my concerns, she gave me the owners number and said to contact him. I sent multiple text messages to the own about my concerns with pictures. He was very unprofessional, cussing at me demanding payment for work that was not done correctly or completed as promised. It took months to get another crew here to repair the damaged fascia and soffit materials. A two man crew showed up and replace only once side of the upper roof and it was the wrong side! Contacted office manager and owner and was treated rudely! Months later now and defects in roof are not fixed, owner has basically said, the roof is perfect. Sent pictures and list of concerns to owner. Nothing but cussing and threats when speaking to the owner on the phone. Months went by, without any response. I have held back the last payment for the work and requested that the roof defects be repaired and other work be completed. Now at this point do not even want to deal with the owner. Asked him to have his attorney contact me! Terrible company! Not professional, Not timely! did not keep original promised schedule. Once they received my first check, they changed their attitude. I would not recommend using this company. If you are using this company, watch everything they do and check their work! Do not pay them until the work is completed properly and completely! Now, I guess I will have to go to court to get my roof repaired!

Couldn’t be happier with the roofing service! The crew was professional, quick, and did an excellent job from start to finish. Everything was handled with care, and the final result looks fantastic. A special shoutout to George—great to see my old buddy still bringing top-notch skill and integrity to the job. Highly recommend this company for anyone needing roofing work!

I called them to repair/replace my roof, due to severe hail damage. Entire staff was friendly and patient, from the initial phone call, to installation. Work was completed rather quickly and they even came back to inspect, after the next thunderstorm. Best part is, my insurance took care of everything!

United roofing was very helpful and professional they provided great service when it came to my family and I needing a new roof….. they were highly recommended and even came down to Richmond to service us.

I’m giving United Roofing and Exteriors LLC a 1-star- review because they do NOT stand behind their work AND they erroneously told us that we had to have the roof decking/roof sheathing replaced because it was too thin…all they had to do, we learned later, was to add/lay on top the correct thickness of plywood. We had a roof replaced by them in the Spring of 2022. Overall, except what I mentioned above, everything seemed to go well. In December 2024, we noticed 2 new water stains on our bedroom ceiling. When they sent someone out to take a look, he saw that when the roof was installed they had failed to put down some flashing around the dormer windows, so they fixed that and said they would return to paint the ceiling. They have never returned to paint the ceiling despite numerous calls and text messages. In Spring 2025, my husband noticed a leak from the roof during a rainstorm. He took a video, which I sent to the local owner/manager Yilbert who told me he would send someone out to fix and also paint the bedroom ceiling and we have heard NOTHING, despite sending several texts and calling and leaving voicemails. What good is a product, that has a 50 year warranty, if the people who installed it won’t fix the issues that they are supposed to fix? I have photos and a video that I would love to upload, except this site is not allowing me to do so.

We decided on United Roofing because they have good reviews on google. Our sales manager was Heather Brown. She was very informative and explained the whole process and their pricing model. It sounded great at the time, low up front cost, payment would mainly go through my insurance, and premiums would not increase. This was November of 2023. They let us know that their roofers did not work through the winter and so we waited. In December Heather contacted us and told us she needed to temporarily switch jobs. She would give us her personal cell in case there were any issues. But ended up forgetting. In January we tried to contact Heather to see if we could get any updates on the project. They were supposed to communicate with insurance to get the money for the project. But she never got back to us. In late January we started calling regularly to get an update - sometimes weekly, sometimes daily. We finally got United Roofing to get a new manager assigned to us named Stephen. He called us to introduce himself, but that was the extent of our conversation. In late February we asked Stephen to see if there were any updates at all for the work to be done or on the conversation with insurance. He told us he would get back to us. We never got an answer. In late March Stephen told us he got into an accident so we stopped asking to give him time to recover and perhaps give United Roofing time to assign another manager. At this point we started looking up other reviews and discovered that other people had actually faced issues with communication as well. A lot of people gave their down payments and then were never contacted again. Other people who managed to get the actual roofing work started had to personally request additional money from their insurance for the work. And others said their premiums definitely increased. It is now June, we have called a few more times since late March and were always told they would get back to us. We have never heard back. At this point I am afraid to even start the process as I no longer trust the company. We considered trying to get our deposit back but given how difficult communication has been at every point, we're not sure we want to even try. We'll just have to eat the $2000 deposit costs and find another company. If you're going to use this company please be careful.

United Roofing is a first-class operation. United Roofing inspected my roof and gutters, complete with gutter cleaning, and everything was stellar and comprehensive, from their initial communication. They worked around my schedule and provided a free estimate/assessment. United Roofing's office manager, Bailey, responded to my initial inquiries, and she is exceptionally responsive, professional, and just so pleasant and great to deal with. United Roofing's technician, Joe, came by within a day to complete the inspection and gutter cleaning -- it took only an email to get things rolling. Joe is entirely knowledgeable, professional, and a super nice guy; he spent a ton of time going over every detail of my roof, gutters, and what preventative maintenance was necessary, and -- importantly -- what was not. That last part is huge; Joe and the company are honest about what you do not need to pay for until it is required. Most companies I've dealt with do not do that! United Roofing also sent me a complete set of pictures to see all aspects of the inspection. I give United Roofing my highest recommendation for all routine and comprehensive roofing and gutter work.
