Umami Curry is definitely on the top 5 of the best ramen places in Jacksonville! Not to mention the owners and staff are incredibly nice and gracious! They are the first restaurant in Jacksonville to serve Japanese curry and also, in my opinion, the best one! We have been here several times and they are one of the few places that serves consistently delicious dishes. Their braised beef brisket was cooked for 12 hours and you can really taste the depth of the flavors in every bite! Plus paired it with the curry, mind blowing! Only wish we live close by. Always a dining pleasure!

Very good food the flavors were spot on...I had the Udon Curry which was phenomenal.. the noodles were perfect. The meat pulled apart and captured the flavor of the broth. I am a big eater and the portion size wad a bit smaller than I am used to. Just a touch. I could have done with another appetizer. With that said it's no one's fault I can eat three peoples worth of food! Overall great vibe, and good experience. Staff wad friendly too. Fast. On top of it.

I’m blown away! This was such a great experience. I used to have lots of ramen and curry when I lived in Vancouver and this beats it all. The takoyaki actually had chunks of octopus in it!! I’ll be back and bringing friends for sure! I also chatted with who I assume was the owner who was very sweet! He made sure we had a good time and enjoyed our meals. I’m so overjoyed that this isn’t far from where I live! Give this place a try if you haven’t already! 🍜

Umami Curry is legit one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville. Whether you’re there for their delicious curry katsu or their wonderful curry ramen, you won’t leave disappointed. Awesome price points. Great selection. Lovely staff. Wholesome owners. Superior quality. What more can you really ask for?

Everything we had was delicious, the food came out of the kitchen very fast. The servers were lovely and the cheesecake was wonderful.

Hands down the best ramen in Mandarin! Me and my hubby visits this hidden gem very often. I always order the Shoyu or the Curry Tonk Ramen and it never disappoint. It’s packed with flavors and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. Don’t forget to add chili oil!

Amazing food very tasty, rich flavor, great atmosphere. Pork baos are delicious. Best ramen noodles around Jax hands down. Don’t miss out on this gem. Great selection of Japanese beers and sake.

The best place to get Ramen and Curry. I especially love their Curry Ramen. If you love Japanese culture and cuisine, do not hesitate. Ive stopped here twice and both times had an exceptional experience. The only downside is I live across the bridge and it's difficult to drive over there during rush hours because of traffic (4pm-6pm). We would visit more often if they were open during the day. Also, and this is for the owners, Umami Curry has exceptional curry and ramen. But when you Google "ramen places near me", it's near impossible to find. So if you're looking for more business, perhaps leaning into ramen marketing may help as it's never an option I can find easily.

This is our new ramen noodle and sushi spot! The atmosphere is amazing, it feels like you are in a different country once you enter and sit down. The staff was very nice and helpful, the food was amazing, and the prices were pretty good. A must try place when you are in the mandarin area if Jacksonville. We will defiantly be back soon!
