How Often Should You Service Your Car?
Keeping up with your car's service schedule is one of the simplest ways to avoid breakdowns and keep repair costs down. As a general rule, most cars need servicing every 6 months or 10,000 km — whichever comes first. Newer models may stretch to 12 months or 15,000 km, but always check your owner's manual.
Driving conditions matter too: lots of short trips, stop-start city driving, towing, or harsh weather means your car may need attention more often.
Watch for warning signs like rough idling, sluggish acceleration, dashboard warning lights, unusual noises, fluid leaks, or uneven tyre wear. Missing a service can lead to dirty oil, increased engine wear, poor fuel economy, and even void your new car warranty.
Don't wait until something goes wrong. A regular service keeps your car safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
